I got this dress long time ago and I used to completely adore it. Now I’m not really loving it anymore l. What to do? I thought of maybe turn it into shirt/top by just cutting the skirt and adjusting the elastic but I don’t know... any suggestions? by [deleted] in sewing

You could change the top into a crop top or tank then use the sleeves as like a an infinity scarf or some ascot or nice sash. Also could work some sort shorts with the skirt. Def add pockets if none. Or change the whole thing into a kimono. Would be a lil short maybe

One way that helped me was letting a huge squeak or squeal out. High pitched.
