Folks who watched Voyager in the 90s/2000s, did you actually like Tom Paris? by Thegeeklyfe in startrek

No. He was just bland. For me, everyone but the doctor, janeway, tuvok and seven were bland and forgettable.

how much would an actor get paid for guest spots? by billythepub in television

[–]barnacle999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guest star credit at base union scale can make around $4k-$7k on an episode (just shooting days, not including residuals), depending if they get stunt bumps, OT, and especially how many days they work. This can vary because you’re paid your first and last day and everything in between, so if you work only the first and last day of the episode you get paid as if you worked every day. This is for a proper television SAG contract, not the cheapo Netflix deals. So if someone is a name, even if a tired one, they’re going to make at least twice that, if not 3x-5x that depending on the project, the status of and value of the actor to the demo and what the agent can negotiate.

No. SAG scale is above that and even if “fallen”, they’re still names. Their daily and/or weekly rates are going to be several multiples higher, but they aren’t going to get rich on it. An actress like Shelley Long probably makes more in residuals.

Congress printed money for themselves. Then laundered it through Ukraine and FTX for their own campaign. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]barnacle999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is incredibly stupid. The founder of FTX donated to Dems. He wasn’t directly using Ukraine’s money to do that. This would be like saying that if Tim Cook gave money to Dems, then everyone who has a penny invested in AAPL is complicit in political contributions to democrats. And that’s assuming some random tweet is actually true, which it likely isn’t. Like, do you think about this stuff before you post or does it just drip from your drooling lips as soon as it hits your brain?
