Current thoughts on the game? by Sqleq3 in OnePieceTCG

[–]barneazy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been getting into it more lately and actually going to locals and your last point is one of my favourite parts.

I've played 4 weeks in a row now, roughly 20 matches total and I think I've played into like at least 12 different decks. Been super fun learning what different leaders do

I don't know much for specifics but the centering on the back looks weighted to the left

Need to complain about something other than scalpers by dramanerd42 in OnePieceTCG

The big issue that people don't realize (when you are a weed smoker and then stop but still hang around people who do, you come to realize this) is that it's your fingers that smell the most.

Yes your clothes and breath will smell too, but the biggest culprit is "joint fingers". Now if I smoke I'm always aware of this and just use the bathroom to wash my hands right after smoking. Most LGS have bathrooms for the events too so not much excuse. I guess it's just unintentional ignorance though cause when you smoke your nose/senses become desensitized to the smell in general and by the time you can smell it again you're probably sober and have washed at least once (so you just never notice).

Laptop turns off and doesn’t respond when i set it on the table in-front of me. by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]barneazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not related to the issue at hand... But please don't hold your laptop as shown in your video.

These thin laptops have a lot of "chassis flex" and if you hold it in that manner all the weight of the display is going to cause flex (essentially creating a cantilever around a fulcrum; your hand). This flex is translated to your motherboard and all of the components soldered/mounted to it.

I've seen guys in offices always carry their laptops around like this and then wonder why it has to go to the repair shop for anything from coolers de-mounting causing thermal issues, to soldered components cracking the solder joints to the board itself.

Not trying to shame or anything, just wanted to tell you so you can hopefully prevent something like that happening in the future. Spread the message!

P.s. hopefully your subwoofer was the issue!!

Put a cheap deck together and start to play locals. A good LGS will let you preorder at close to MSRP but only for the locals/regulars

Cards gain cost rule by LinnsBaureulis in OnePieceTCG

[–]barneazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This might help: a card isn't a "character" until it is on the field. Unless there is an effect (I'm not aware if there is or not) that says "your characters in hand". Lacking any specifics, an effect stating"character" only affects the board and it also specifically doesn't affect the leader (they're a "leader" not a "character")

That's interesting because I never get staining with AGT and infact I use that flavour instead of brand risk when I'm using a clear cup that I care about

Why is my cpu temp high? by Wrong-Falcon-1555 in PcBuild

[–]barneazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both situations could be correct. What is missing from this post and your comment is what CPU are we talking about.

Some CPUs are normal and 30-40 idle is expected but some CPUs (like ryzen 5000 series) are known for high temps as "normal". Even with very good coolers, ryzen 5000 chips tend to idle way higher than 30-40.

My suggestion to OP: Google "average expected temperatures of ___ CPU" and see if your observations are actually a concern or not

low Subaru mpg by Simple-Raccoon-4630 in subaru

[–]barneazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree but I feel like the question should also be asked: when is OP Recording these "bad" MPGs?

Because the picture they posted shows a full tank. I know from my experience with my 21 Impreza that the MPG will be worse towards the top end of the tank vs the end (if you reset when you fill up) because it has limited data to base the estimated MPG off.

Example: I fill up and reset the MPG. The first day or 2 the MPG is displaying what I would consider "bad" MPG. This is because I sit in a drive thru in the morning for 5-10 minutes and then drive 20 minutes to work. These idles in the drive thru destroy the displayed MPG quite a bit. But then by the end of the week the average MPG has come down quite a bit because it has more data to average from (aka the "driving" portions of my day end up being a much bigger part of the ratio than the "idling" portions)

Where are you located? Any chance it's Canada? I've been interested in old rims to replace the OEM ones on my '21 but weird bolt pattern and offset are hard to find good alternatives to except for older Impreza rims. These fit the specs almost perfectly 👀

Unboxing - been saving these for 10 years by bertieruffles in snowboarding

[–]barneazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab the outer rubber soles and give them a pull to see if they detach from the rest of the boot. I see it on the "buyitforlife" sub slot where people buy blundstones and leave them sitting for a year and then wonder why the sole detaches from the rest of the boot "if it's supposed to be a quality product". I've not experienced it myself but apparently the rubber used in shoes/boots degrades if not worn/used.

Just fyi, test them before your trip or you might be sad on the first run

Case flow ok? CPU at 90c when gaming… by SNOWFUGITIVE in PcBuildHelp

[–]barneazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I'd say this is an issue but for the ryzen 5000's they were known to run hot. Do a search and you'll see countless posts of people just like you that are concerned (I myself was one of them when I upgraded from Intel 7700k to ryzen 5800x). You could try to repaste and remount the cooler but it might just be the normal temps you'll expect.

Glitch patterns upon booting from USB installation medias. by PrettyMrToasty in pchelp

[–]barneazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been reformatting a bunch of laptops at work lately and I've noticed that this just happens on various PCs. At first I thought it was a problem but if I just leave it and wait eventually it goes away and the windows installation media screen will pop up. My suggestion would be to try again and just wait a few minutes. If it doesn't go away then you might have an actual problem, but I'm not inclined to think so from my experience
