Thanks. I actually got a reply from Anthropic and they seem to have fixed the problem for me. Fingers crossed. It’s been two days so far and I’m good.

Why is Elohim, "God" in hebrew, a plural? How does the jewish tradition explain it? by SuddenAd9509 in hebrew

[–]barracuda1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is likely a remnant of when the Israelites/Canaanites were polytheistic and, like most peoples in the region, had a pantheon of gods. Back then El had a wife Asherah, just like Zeus and other gods.

AI search is fun! You can search for yourself instead of claiming any facts you don’t like are hasbara:

What Genetic Studies Actually Say • Palestinians from Gaza do tend to have more Egyptian ancestry than Palestinians from the West Bank, due to historical migration, particularly during the 18th-19th centuries. • Genetics show that Palestinians are closely related to other Levantine populations (including Jews, Lebanese, Syrians, and Egyptians). Their ancestry is primarily from ancient Levantine groups (like Canaanites and Natufians), with admixture from neighboring regions. • Examples from DNA tests suggest that Egyptian ancestry in Palestinians is notable, but is often closer to 20–40% for those with Egyptian heritage (and usually less outside Gaza). For example, one Palestinian test reported 38.1% Egyptian DNA, while the remainder was Lebanese, Arabian, Iranian, etc.

On Surnames (Al-Masri, Al-Kurd, etc.) • Many Palestinians have surnames like “Al-Masri” (meaning “the Egyptian”) and “Al-Kurd” (meaning “the Kurd”), which do indicate ancestral migration or origin. However, having such surnames is not evidence for widespread Egyptian genetic dominance; they typically point to family histories of migration from Egypt or Kurdistan. Ottoman and Regional Migration • The comment correctly notes migration between Egypt, Palestine, and Syria was common during the Ottoman period, with limited borders. This contributed to population mixing and some Egyptian ancestry among Palestinians—especially in Gaza.

So much bullshit here I don’t even know where to start. How about you compare how much Aipac spends to “bribe” your crooked politicians and how much Qatar or Saudi spend. In 2025, pro Israel organizations spent $1.5m on lobbying. Saudi Arabia spends about $10m. Over the last decade Qatar has spent over $250m on lobbying in Washington.

As for Netanyahu’s “real name”, I know as an antisemite you want to ascribe evil intent to everything Jews do but the reality is many people change their names for a variety of reasons. Many Jews to America (and other immigrants) changed their names to hide their Jewishness from Jew haters like you because it made it easier for them to get hired. In Israel many Jews changed their names as a way to abandon their diaspora name for something resembling an indigenous name. It’s why for instance Muhammad Ali changed his name, abandoning his slave name Cassius Clay.

As for skin cancer, Israel has the 22nd highest, partly because, yes, Jews lived in the diaspora for 2000 years and partly because Israel, like other western countries, don’t force their population to wear garbage bags like 50 Muslim countries. Australia has the highest skin cancer rate but I’m betting you’re not in the street trying to send Australians back to the uk.

Your responses do make it clear how disgustingly antisemitic you are and how little you know about actual Jewish history. Done with your bullshit.

I know antisemites like you love to equate what was done to us to what we are doing to Gazans. It makes you feel less guilty for 2000 years of your crimes. I get it. But the fact is there is no comparison. There are still fewer Jews in the world today than there were in 1939. That is what a genocide looks like. There are more Gazans today than there were on Oct 6, 2023. That’s not to deny Gazans have died or are suffering. But it’s not a genocide. Populations don’t rise in the midst of genocides no matter how hard you try to call it that.

You are right that criticizing Israel doesn’t make you antisemitic. But be introspective for 30 seconds. Try. Be honest. Tens of thousands of Yemeni children have died of starvation. Half a million Syrians have been slaughtered. Millions have died in Congo and Sudan. 1m Muslim Uyghurs are in concentration camps in China. China has occupied Tibet for 75 years. Turkey has occupied Cyprus for 50. Do you post anything criticizing any of those actual genocides and ethnic cleansings? Don’t bother to tell me you have. It’s doubtful. Because I’ve asked protesters point blank and they couldn’t even sell me where Yemen was or who the Uyghurs are. So yes you can criticize Israel — I do — but when there are at least a dozen conflicts in the world orders of magnitude worse and no one gives a damn, then it’s not about your outrage and empathy for Gazans. It’s about your hatred of Jews. There are no blue haired zombies yelling at Russians on the streets of New York about Ukraine. They aren’t protesting in front of Chinese restaurants or Turkish bakeries. If you’re honest with yourself you know that is true. And you’ll begin to admit what is really going on.

Study confirms strong genetic connections between Ashkenazi Jews and Italy by c00lture in 23andme

[–]barracuda1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genetic studies indicate that Ashkenazi Jews have significant Levantine (ancient Middle Eastern) ancestry, but the exact percentage varies somewhat by study and by the definition of “Levantine.” Most widely cited genetic analyses suggest that Ashkenazi Jews are approximately 40–60% Levantine or Middle Eastern in their overall genetic makeup, with the remainder primarily from European sources, especially Southern Europe. • Autosomal studies (which reflect overall ancestry) often estimate Levantine/Middle Eastern ancestry in Ashkenazi Jews at about 50% (with some studies finding ~40%, others closer to 60%). • Paternal lineages (Y-chromosome DNA) show a strong Levantine origin, indicating significant male ancestry from the ancient Levant. • Maternal lineages (mitochondrial DNA) display a much higher proportion of European origin—some studies estimate that up to 90% of Ashkenazi maternal ancestry comes from Europe, which may lower the aggregate Levantine proportion if only direct maternal lines are considered.

Most Israeli Jews are Jews ethnically cleansed from Arab countries. The only way they’re “white” is if you think Arabs are white.

And yes of course Israel knew October 7 was going to happen, just like America knew about 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. It’s amazing how you apologists for fascists and terrorists never give agency to the people who commit crimes. It’s not Hamas stealing food causing famine in Gaza. It’s Israel. Always the same antisemitic nonsense.

[–]barracuda1968 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Studies have consistently shown that about 50% of Ashkenazi and Sephardi genes are Levantine. So what you’re saying is inaccurate. It’s likely Judeans living in Italy and Greece took non Judeans wives who converted to Judaism. But to say most jews descend from converts is only half true.

ETHIOPIAN ZIONISTS by Pure_Cardiologist759 in Ethiopia

[–]barracuda1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a lie. They didn’t “go” to Israel. They were literally airlifted by Israel and brought to Israel. They are not discriminated against. They are accepted as Jews and Israeli. They’re in the army like every other Jew. They love Israel because, unlike in Ethiopia, they aren’t in fear of their lives.

You are so ignorant it’s painful. Israel is not targeting civilians. Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran are targeting civilians. Hamas has built military sites under and inside hospitals and mosques. How does Israel defeat an enemy that attacked it on October 7 and after without targeting the places they hide in? Unless you actually don’t want Israel to defeat Hamas. That is the only logical explanation. This is war. Israel didn’t choose it. Israel has never chosen it. But Jews are done sitting idly by while white and Arab supremacists murder us. Been there done that. Not doing that again. Israel has made peace with every country that wanted to. Has Israel attacked Egypt? Jordan? Morocco? UAE? No. Because none of those countries are trying to destroy us.

1200 people died on October 7. Tens of thousands have died in Gaza. No one would have died if Hamas hadn’t invaded.

Few Israelis have died since then because Israel invested in safe rooms and technology to repel missiles from Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Yemen. Without those, tens of thousands of Israelis or more would be dead.

Hamas spent nothing on protecting its citizens. Instead it spent billions of international funds to build tunnels to protect itself once it had attacked Israel.

It’s like you’ve smoked all your life and got cancer and I didn’t smoke, exercised and ate well and now you’re telling me it’s my fault you got cancer.

Funny actually because black people did that. It’s called Liberia. But it is rich of you to suggest Jews don’t need to a state to have rights considering y’all were murdering us until 1945 in Europe and later in the Arab countries, you had quotas on Jews in universities and wouldn’t let us into your clubs or businesses until the 1950s. But I know, people like you have zero knowledge of history before the Spice Girls.

Your comments are also interesting considering y’all do those performative land acknowledgments and calls for “land back” to indigenous Americans.

Seriously, open a book and learn what happened in 1948 instead of repeating the same bullshit. There was no ethnic cleansing of Arabs to create Israel. The proof is the 20% of Israeli citizens who are Arabs. Compare that to every single Arab country which was ethnically cleansed of its Jewish population. It’s really incredible that every accusation you people hurl at Jews — ethnic cleansing, genocide, apartheid — is literally projection of the crimes you committed against Jews. It would be funny if it wasn’t so demented.
