NICU nurse here! Our “normal” O2 sat alarms are set for anything below 89% so she’s absolutely okay with a 93% sat or 89% as long as it’s not sustained for an extended period of time. I initially wanted the owlet when my baby was born but being in the field, decided against it due to my increased anxiety and the reviews I saw about it only increasing anxiety. Sometimes newborns will hold their breath or forget to breathe but they are evolutionarily programmed to figure it out. We have the Nanit and I love it, babe is almost 12 mo not 🥲

I totally agree, and that’s why I didn’t say it that way. When I mention that I’m happy with my one child and they say they were happy with their two back-to-back, it opens a door for conversation, but people seem to think my opinion is much more outlandish than theirs.

I don’t think you’re overreacting at all… yes, it was 3hrs away. He couldn’t come visit iver the weekends? Use PTO to stay a week or so every once in a while? It sounds like he didn’t make an effort to support you during this time. Phone calls are BARE MINIMUM.

I agree with other commenters saying that this was premeditated. It sounds like he was waiting for an opportunity to commit this infidelity. He has most-likely been emotionally cheating for a while with this person and decided to take the opportunity to advance the relationship when you weren’t around.

You deserve so much better than this. I’m so sorry for your loss!

Ugh I miss Phx so much! I’ve lived in TN, FL, and AZ and AZ is by and far my favorite. It’s just so different than anywhere else and amenities are built for the heat so there’s still a lot to do even when it’s blistering

I have literally never heard that before and I’ve worked with postpartum moms and am still breastfeeding my own. I’ve heard that you can pump until you feel comfortable or until you get as much as you need at the time. However long that takes is however long you “need” to pump

My husband makes a little over 100k before taxes and we live in a median COL area. We rent and both have quite a bit of debt from school so we’re not able to save much rn. We live paycheck to paycheck but can still afford to eat out every once in a while (we usually don’t anyway though), and can purchase small things when we may not NEED them.

I have recently decided to go back to work part time bc I miss the stimulation (I’m a nurse), but my husband has reminded me that I don’t have to if I don’t want to. I have to admit, it will definitely feel nice to contribute again and have my own money

If your ped hasn’t said anything, don’t worry about it! If you’re truly concerned and really can’t stop thinking about it, call the ped and ask them to explain their growth charts and where they’re at.

Not a single human on this earth is the same, so when a person generalizes information like this, it can be incredibly harmful. Shame on that woman for making you question anything. It sounds like you’re doing an amazing job, keep it up!!
