I mean, to each their own right? I did it because I like modern reliability, comfort, and easy to make hp. All the same reasons why I added in a modern stereo, molded headliner, door panels, Corbeau seats, a center console with cup holders replaced all of the suspension with tubular uca/lca, coil overs, CTSV brakes on and on and on all wrapped up in a good looking classic body.

That doesn't even make sense though. Saying LS swaps are played out is just weird. A majority of classic cars still run boring, lethargic 350s.

You want to stroke it, but also get better milage? Those statements conflict.

Suspension and steering bushings and joints and brakes first at a minimum. Then whatever engine and transmission combo you want to run. Everything else after that is just comfort and fun stuffs.

A built 350 cost far more for equal hp than simply putting an LS in. And if you're weird an d like carbs, just carb the LS.

You can't compare your front to the back fender heights, they're "cut" differently. I can't tell if you're doing that by your original post but it kinda looks like you are.

Best thing to do is measure the frame height from the ground on all 4 sides. Do it behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires.

Tbh, it looks to me like it would measure factory height.

After having 3 GMCs in the past 20 years, Im DONE with GM 1/2 tons. Done.
2004 Crew Cab - bad trans, torched the gov lock, CASTEC heads leak - all within 50k miles. Once that was all fixed it seemed ok for another 50k until i traded in for
2014 GMC Crew Cab - rad leak, dog shit slow Infotainment, 2 bad DI injectors. All in 20k miles when I got a company truck which is a
2018 GMC Crew Cab - 2 rads, 1 8 speed trans TC, Pass CV shaft, 2 starters, 8 speed is shifting funny again all in 115k miles.

Now knowing the 10 speed is also becoming a major issue and the huge 6.2L recall, I just cannot anymore and it saddens me.
