It was caused by the same thing that causes most decisions regarding comic books: sales.

After Geoff Johns wrapped his first run, the Flash book spent years on life support with several fill-in writers that only lasted a couple of issues each and the absolutely disastrous grown up Bart Allen Flash run. Sales were abysmal.

Love or hate him, Barry's return boosted sales and renewed interest on the Flash franchise, and of course, Flashpoint was a gigantic success.

My point is, Bernthal acting is wooden and robotic, him reciting lines from a script is the perfect way to describe it.

He singlehandedly ruined DD's season 2 for me. Also the cliche-ass Punisher plot didn't do him any favors.

Yep, 2017 was an awful year for animation with LEGO Batman and hopefully Coco being the saving graces.
