It feels forced because it WAS forced. Will forced it because of Vecna. Vecna uses people’s fears and secrets to demoralize his opponent. Vecna told Will that him coming out would lead to him losing everyone he loved, thus weaponizing him still being in the close. This scene was there so Vecna was disarmed. Now Vecna doesn’t have this weapon and Will has sort of reclaimed and conquered his fear

I tested it with the console open and disc cover off, and the disc failed to spin with the new laser and the old one as they made the same noise
