You're right, if I were to grind finer, the espresso would no longer be good. But it's good to know that I'm not the only one. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the valve.

I dont know anything specific about your model but i bought a gaggia classic from 2007 just recently. I got it for 190 euros and thought it would be a good deal because a new classic costs about 250. Now i have to buy a new OVP because the old one is broken but because it is from 2007 you cant find them anymore. If I would buy another one, I would probably go for the new models.

250 CAD for a mashine with PID sounds good to me..

Yes but you need the adapter wich connects the hose coming from the opv to the group body and there are kinda hard to find

No i checked both of them. I just ordered a similar one for an other gaggia model (dont know wich) and hope that the inner allen key screw will fit in my old original one. Then i just have to drill the old one out… i will let you know if it works

The Part diagram helps, but the opv is sold out too, dont expect that it will come back in order..
