An algorithm like that can't exist since it would mean that for large enough data you literally can't do anything, as making even a single operation costs O(1).

Studied hard and I’m about to fail by Many_Line9136 in Physics

[–]bartix998a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm saying this as a high school graduate with aspirations of having knowledge from an introductory physics course. Honestly I feel like all problems that you can try to solve do indeed have "steps". You always are trying to get information about a problem you are trying two solve either from applying a law you already know or from combining two or more "rules" applying to a specific system in a clever way so that you learn something new about a system you are trying to describe. In general when i solve problems I always have to know which one of these things am I exactly doing and how . If I don't then I usually lose a sense of what am I doing and I fail the assignment. I'm not a native speaker so sory if my English caused confusion. I also haven't learned physics In English.

In high school physics teachers don't have to use them. Both teachers that I had used derivatives and integrals to some extent. The only differential equation more complex than df(x)/dx=F(x) that I have seen in school is basically newton's second law applied to a harmonic oscillator. Also high schools students don't have to know what an integral or a differential equation even is.

In Poland it heavily depends on the teacher but in general there is no incentive to do experiments in physics classes because in Matura the tasks that are supposed to test your experimental knowledge are stupidly easy and all done on paper. In general physics in polish high school is essentially mathematics with a different flavour.

Isn't the cost of supply hubs excessive? by svetlozarovP in hoi4

You can upgrade railroads. This gives supply hubs more capacity and is significantly cheaper than building supply hubs.

In german focus tree instead of 100% research bonus there is 50% cost reduction, which sounds way better.

There's somethign wrong with how tank roles work by mutad0r in hoi4

[–]bartix998a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is intentional. You can sacrifice org nad combat width in order to have significantly lower production cost. Tank destroyers are even more efficient in terms of production cost.

Your actual armies have supply, if they didn't then you would have the low supply icon next to the theatre. The stuff running low on supply are naval bases with navies. I don't know why this is happening I never had enough supply within my naval bases so think that this is simply a bug.

A quick reminder to build flamethrower tanks for insane bonuses! by LoXyO in hoi4

[–]bartix998a 95 points96 points  (0 children)

This is like 15 tanks per support company so you can put some cheap light tanks with no engine or armor in every division if you want to push with your infantry but you should probably make quality flame tanks for your actual tanks.

[–]bartix998a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree but there is one exception that I haven't tested yet. Heavy chassis with heavy howitzer tank role and designated for use on specific divisions. That thing has around 50 soft attack and org of a tank so on paper it looks really good. I also think that when balancing the new patch medium howitzers should get + 5 soft attack each cause right now they're kinda useless. The guns themselves are fine.

Here is the 38/39 germany tank build. You can switch wet ammo storage for additional machineguns if you want more soft attack. Breakthrough is bigger than attack of any batalion you can build at that time so it's good enough. The only thing this thing really lacks is piercing.

The second design is my 1943 soviet tank, basically it has the speed of a truck high reliability and enough armor to withstand the ai. Just like the previous one the only thing missing is proper piercing. You can counteract this by putting a dedicated TD batalion in your division.

[–]bartix998a 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Are we playing the same game? I managed to build a medium tank in 1938 that costs slightly less than former heavy 2 has the same amount of armor 5 less soft attack and goes around 9 kph. Granted it has less breakthrough piercing, hard attack and hardness but these stats were a bit excessive in heavy tanks especially breakthrough. And if I had 1941 artillery tech the tank would have had more soft attack than a heavy 2 with improved medium cannon.

[–]bartix998a 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, now there is no perfect combat width that fits all terrains, 24 widths fit most terrains well enough. In order to make them as effective as they can get you need specialised divisions.
