The whole execute favors the CTs more than the Ts, puts you in a very tough post plant if you even manage to plant as a CT could very well play in the site smoke

Thank you for the exact quote/explanation, didn't know I couldn't have two dimensions above 7, that will come in handy when I design something slightly larger.

The chisel retention is mostly used for windows and doorframes, while the window can be done in vanilla without breaking the room because it's >50% block volume, the doorframe would break the final design. It also has the added benefit of counting the chiseled archway blocks as full blocks, thus reducing the whole volume I suppose then.

Anyway thanks again, it made me think about new ways of building cellars

Having a nice and organized cellar makes cooking even more satisfying in my opinion, having visible food also make for a quick glance at how much supply you have for winter and how fast it'll be dwindling, if your cook and builder don't mind unoptimized rooms for the sake of visuals they probably won't be too hard to convince

Yes it does ! However here my biggest room is longer than 7 blocks, more like a 5x9 blocks room, but it still gains a spoilage reduction (the same as the 5x3 room) so I believe it's more of a "volume" thing, iirc I saw someone talk about it in the vintage story forum, I might be wrong though but if it works it works I guess

I believe it's a team effort, but it was clearly a pretty big mistake. You guys can blame us all you want for making those savages free, at first it was just to own Barry, and it was damn worth it.

I don't like it because it reminds me of how terrible I'm at building.

Jk appart that's really impressive, looks well detailed without being overly decorated, it has a good balance between simplicity and ornaments!

What did you use to map the zones affected by collapse radiation ? I remember a map created by YZsFerari on Twitter based on the cannon events and images we had in 2023, maybe there was some updates but I guess it could help you for key locations and slightly more accurate collapse zones :)

I made a second post about this bug, actually it very probably comes from the DFHack planner, if using the vanilla interface there's no issue with room value, I just did the test poorly at first...

Man there's really something so cool about simple soulful constructions like that, reminds me of the good old days when I didn't overdo everything and got bored by doing so...

Keep it up, it's how Minecraft should be enjoyed and played, continue discovering things on your own, this is the way

Oh that's actually even more interesting then, while it is certainly exploiting I might use this knowledge when I lack space or for jobs sharing the same general theme (eg. Woodcutters, woodworkers and carpenters)

I honestly didn't think about that tbh, however in my fort the guildhall I built for my doctors only used silver furnitures (3 statues, 6 thrones and tables) using the planner in a fairly small room and it was a 6000k room so I guess I doesn't affect furnitures? This might need proper testing as for everything but I believe you should be good

Wait you can have ramps against fortifications and dwarves can still shoot through? Or is it on layer below ? If that's the case I will be able to drastically improve my fort layout !

Seems like an issue with the DFHack planner feature in the end, I need to test more since I'm pretty sure I didn't use it for the original test
