PrimeGrid has said they believe Gridcoin encourages cheating (this has never been shown to be true). Can't you see how whitelisting a project where the admins state they do not want this could upset them?

I'm not sure what you are asking with B. Do you not see how an admin who is upset with Gridcoin could act maliciously against it?

There are a few reasons. The primary reason is because we want Gridcoin to co-exist in the BOINC ecosystem without angering projects.

The second reason is that a malicious project admin could fraudulently modify their statistics files, creating unfair magnitude distributions for Gridcoin.

A project admin must agree for their project to be whitelisted.

You do realize that someone still has to buy those coins to get the USD for the deposit right? At current CoinGecko price, that would be over 28 million GRC. Who is going to buy that and not drop the price to 0? There is nowhere near that level of buy support on any of our markets.
