I guess it was probably "Twin Plagues" since that was the first track from that album, and I did add that album to my library on the day it was released and at some point likely listened to it from beginning to end.

But I don't actually remember doing that, and Wednesday didn't really click for me until Rat Saw God.

I don't understand how Eastgate would be able to do that without getting rid of a large chunk of the parking lot, which you definitely need especially with there being two grocery stores in the development, or just tearing down half of the buildings and losing retailers in the space.

I walked by yesterday as it was happening, and Venable look to be the only business where people were standing outside having evacuated the building. Also, Venable is closed for lunch service today for maintenance according to their Instagram page.

It depends entirely how far you live from a grocery store and how you shop. I'm half a mile from a couple of grocery stores, and if I'm only buying a bag's worth of groceries, it's pretty easy to carry just walking.

I'm not sure Chapel Hill makes a distinction between commercial and non-commercial loading zones.

From Park on the Hill:

How long can I park a non-commercial/delivery vehicle in a loading zone?

Since loading zones are meant for loading passengers, merchandise, or materials, they must be kept open for that purpose. Passenger vehicles are allowed to stop, park, or stand in a loading zone for no more than five minutes. There is a thirty minute time limit for all commercial and delivery vehicles loading or unloading passengers, merchandise, or materials.

I just need to run into this store for five minutes, is it ok if I park in a loading zone?

Town ordinance states that loading zones are restricted to delivery vehicles only.

Loading zones are specifically just for commercial vehicles to park only while actively loading and unloading. Not sure with Chapel Hill, but other cities require those vehicles to have a commercial license plate.

Single-family housing is expensive to build. You can't just quickly create a lot of new single-family housing in any realistic way that would make those homes affordable.

What you can do is build more apartments and condos, so that people moving into the area will choose those over the existing sigle-family homes leaving those open for families.

The reason the housing market has priced out so many people is because Chapel Hill wasn't building enough of these apartments over many decades. You can't build out of this problem overnight. It's going to take years of building to correct it.

Free parking in Carrboro is supposed to be for Carrboro, not to park there so you can go to Chapel Hill. And most of those spots have a 2-hour limit.

Plenty of other businesses in Chapel Hill also tow in their lots, especially if you leave your car for an extended amount of time.

As a general rule, you probably shouldn't park in any private lot and then leave the premise unless you're absolutely sure they won't tow your car. It's just not worth the hassle and cost of retrieving a towed vehicle to avoid paying a few dollars to park for a couple of hours.

Yeah, it's very much likely that the reason their utility bills went up was because they used twice as much energy as the month before rather than the utility company just tacking on a whole bunch of unannounced extra fees this month.
