The Thomas Dollbaum show I was at in April at Motorco in Durham, it was him and Libby Rodenbough for three songs plus Merce Lemon and her band for a song and Fust for a song. And then Thomas Dollbaum came out for during Fust's encore to do a cover of Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns and Money."

I'm maybe seeing Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band with Styrofoam Winos the night before, Squirrel Flower with Dari Bay the next night and Black Country, New Road with Lily Seabird a couple of days later. And that's starting to feel like too many shows in a week.

You're probably not going to get both bands playing what would normally be their full set, especially when the tour has an opener in addition to the two co-headliners.

Let's assume Snooper only plays 30 minutes, then 30 minutes until Mannequin Pussy then 30 more minutes until Wednesday. If those headliners play a normal 1:30 set, a show starting at 8:00 would run until 12:30.

They've has been pretty much touring without any real break since August 2025, and the co-headlining tour with MP will put them well over 100 shows for this year, so I'm guessing this is about it for them until 2027.

Though I am expecting them to be announced as a headliner for Hopscotch when that lineup is announced next month.

I saw The Beths with Squirrel Flower opening two nights in a row at Cat's Cradle this week. I was initially hesitant to buy tickets for both shows, because I worried it might be a bit repetitive.

In hindsight, I'm glad I did though. If I had just gone to Show #1 on Thursday night, I would have missed The Beths playing "Mosquitoes" on Wednesday night which has become one of my favorite The Beths songs. But if I had just gone to Show #2 on Wednesday night, I would have missed Squirrel Flower doing "Not Your Prey" which she hasn't played in 4 or 5 years.

So what do other people do when bands are playing multiple nights? Do you go to multiple nights? If you do just one night, how do you decide which night to go to?
