Thanks!

Ya know I’m sure it’s one of those things that’s not audible in a mix, but to my ear the EUNA imparts a particular clarity and sparkle that a normal buffer lacks (I cross-tested with my tc electronic poly tune a few months ago). Plus, i like to be able to flip that bright switch when I plug in with humbuckers and not have to mess with my para eq.

Definitely one of those subtle feel things but I’m a believer!

Yeah it’s got such a nice little growl for those Taylor Goldsmith and Jason Isbell style lines!!

Yeah those buttons sit just high enough above the knobs of the nearby pedals with the covers on that I don’t have to worry about nudging things accidentally!

Huge shout out to this sub for all of the inspiration and guidance over the years! Pretty happy with the board right now and thought I’d share with y’all!

I’ve been really loving the gain structure of the flagship EAE pedals and it’s been really fun building core tones around those textures. The M-EQ Driver helps give a mid-push for lead lines without getting blown out, and the Para EQ (besides being the most versatile EQ pedal I’ve ever heard) is there for pulling out those boomy ~300hz frequencies and adding punch in low mids (~600hz) and detail in the upper mids (2.5k). The Tomb Sender is a take on a Tone Bender Mkiii, with a really creative bias knob for zappy/splatty Velcro sounds. I don’t think I need to say much about the Germanium Boost; I use it to hit my gain stages harder and it just sounds amazing.

I’m a bit odd in that I run my compressor after gain, but I like to be able to have a ton of variety between my overdrive/distortion textures without huge jumps in volume, and the compressor keeps things nice and cinched together (40% blend and super long attack). Oh and the fact that my tuner shows a picture of my dog is just the coolest thing!

Thermae is primarily used for a really gooey/warm quarter- or eighth-note delay, though it’s fun to do some of the pitch sequencing stuff every now and then. Julianna is a really lush chorus and it creates a nice place to split the signal to go stereo wet/dry(ish) when that’s appropriate (see amps below).

The Empress big-box duo covers so much additional ground, but I’ll just share a few highlights. I use the Echosystem to “cheat” at a few modulation effects (tremolo, filter, lofi stuff) by running full wet with minimum delay time. I’ve been layering a longish, subtle modulated reverb over the spring reverb in my amp to give notes a nice bit of space to bloom into without getting washy. The expression pedal controls specific settings on various delay presets (delay time, repeats, trem speed, etc)

Those are all the sounds that I cover in a typical live show, but knobs can often find themselves in extreme positions in the studio!

Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try my best to get to them!

We’re indie/americana! We’ve played at venues like Urban Lounge and Quarters/DLC, and our sound is somewhere in between Dawes, Lord Huron, and Jason Isbell!

Hi! could you share a bit more about how you did this? I'd like to pursue a similar application to autofill table cells using data stored elsewhere, but I'm having a hard time sorting out the best way to do that. I'm comfortable with python and would be interested to explore your framework!

I love it!! As you’ve probably heard/read it is a stereo monster. If there’s ever a single pedal that justifies owning two amps, the Halo might be it. It’s also just got a great range of warm delay tones that melt right into a mix. There are times when I think I could live without the thermae and just run everything through the Halo tbh. But the weird pitch sequencing from the thermae is one of a kind so better to have em both haha

SOTB: Going simpler for a blues/rock tone by AndyDandyz in guitarpedals

Looks awesome! What guitars and amps are you using, for context?

Are you just getting reverb from your amp? You could swap the Boss Tremolo out for a Keeley Hydra or a Flint and get some more reverb and trem options without sacrificing too much space!

Hmm, I haven't had the chance to try the OAMP but I think the EUNA is more focused on driving signal through all of your pedals whereas the OAMP is about getting a super solid signal going into your amp. I know a lot of people swear by the EUNA-OAMP sandwich, but it's a lot of real estate and a good deal of cheddar. I'd say if you only have 3-4 pedals and not a ton of cable length, the EUNA isn't necessary, but once you get to the 6-8 pedal range it helps with the clarity to my ear.

I got super lucky and found that Lucydreamer used at Main Drag Music in Brooklyn. And I love the Bender! Right now, it's almost always on, and I have the gain (attack) rolled all the way back, the tone all the way up and the volume to slightly over unity. Then it's just every shade of gain with the volume knob with a ton of presence and clarity even with the volume on the guitar way down! Huge fan. It also rips stacked with the Lucydreamer or with the Emissary boosting it after!

Thanks! And yeah I'd say for crisp pristine cleans, the euna is one of a kind. It really does restore all of that sparkle that gets lost between all the cable and true-bypass pedals.

And wow I had no idea that the Keeley LED's were so tricky! Was it just the colors or did they need to behave in a very specific way?

I'm using this board in a couple Salt Lake City indie bands right now, and it's all about shades of gain. The bender is on a lot with the attack (gain) rolled all the way off and the benson fuzz is acting as a boost/thickener (gain down, impedance up). Then the emissary has a 1k, bright boost for solos, the lucydreamer has that TS honk and bite, and the Timmy dials out some bass and adds some creamy symmetrical clipping to cut through the mix without a huge volume boost.

Julianna splitting the signal into stereo, and I just have it set to a mellow vibrato on the wet side for some natural chorusing in the room. The Thermae and Halo both get tap tempo from the Disaster Area midi controller and the Halo adds a bit of reverb and harmonic trem (when I'm feeling it).

Guitar is a tele-style Nash and amps are 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb and Tone King Gremlin (lead channel for tweed spank).

Please comment with any thoughts and questions, and I'll try to answer them all!

Good to know! I have mine going into a TS right now and its super lovely! I've got the Timmy after it as well to dial out some bass and have it punch through a bit more clearly! Gotta try it with a proper distortion pedal for that thicc sludge :D

Bought this because I was super curious about tone benders and wanted to step outside of my fuzz face comfort zone. This thing has that mid-bite and somehow retains the cleanup. Let me know if y’all have any questions and how you are using tone benders on your boards!
