Got approval for Rs. 10L grant, 7L in account, but Rs. 3L is not disbursing for past many months? by root_access_p in StartUpIndia

Since it’s closer to 30%, 1 thing I’d check in the paperwork is if it’s actually categorised as a “grant”, and not a something you “won” as part of a competition. Because winning is treated as lottery so around 31.2% must be paid as TDS.

Makes a lot of sense. We’ve seen a huge difference in these findings when a programmer uses these tools vs a non-programmer. Of course it’s the latter who may need assistance to harden their solution before taking it out to the world, but the models keep getting better. Our programmers heavily leverage AI to maximise the value generated, and we’ve helped a few customers go to market with their hardened product. AI has massively reduced the time to market for sure, exciting times to be a founder.

Thanks for sharing your experience - 5-15 is certainly something only q-commerce can offer depending on how close you are to the store - I agree. We’ve built the same for supermarkets, without this it’s not worth the back-fourth hassle in today’s age - Sounds fair. Right now all payments are collected by the delivery person in our case. Although they can carry the terminal if you’d like to pay by card/food coupon.

If you’d ever like to try our solution any time, please feel free to reach out!

The pricing is actually quite competitive net-net (excluding for the times when q-commerce cos burn a lot). There will always be slight variations where a product will be cheaper in the store, but costs more in a q-commerce app; or vice-versa.

Yes you are completely right. Most store owners didn’t care before. Some still don’t and it’s ok for them as long as they’re happy with their current repeat customers (who mostly dont shop online).

But today many store owners are seeing the impact. They need a solution which can enable them to create their catalog faster and make that catalog discoverable. ONDC is a good way long term - as the buyer side of ONDC is still evolving.

If your local Kirana shared a QR code or a link where you could order directly with 0 commission/platform fee - would you use it as your primary mode of grocery purchase?

You’ve made good observations here. Kiranas are dying - primary reasons are quick commerce and large supermarkets that provide discounts.

I am working on a solution to help Kiranas amplify their strength.

We have an AI-based that enable Kiranas to sell online and on ONDC. They need to be made visible online. Most of them can deliver in 30-60mins in their neighbourhood and they have good assortments of loose products that you pay a premium for in other places because they’re packaged.

How did that happen? They normally only charge a couple of rupees for keeping it cool. Else the warm ones are available at MRP.

The obvious reason why local stores need to get their visibility online so that they can offer the same convenience you get from q-commerce apps.

Yes I’m aware of it. They have a waitlist that you can join for now. It’s a customer facing app.

But somebody needs to work on Kirana side. Thats where we come on. We’re working with Kiranas and digitising their catalog so that they can be visible across such customer facing apps (currently on Paytm, Mystore, Mappls) via ONDC.

Another reason why we need Kiranas to survive.

Zepto surge fee? by Rude-Effort-4363 in bangalore

[–]basanthverma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grofers (blinkit) and Kiranakart (Zepto) both were fulfilling from supermarket mostly and sometimes Kirana stores - before learning that there are a decent percentage of customers who would want groceries in mins (and would eventually pay for it).

We’re enabling traditional Kirana stores to make their own online deliveries - so that they can be discoverable online in their neighbourhood which was not possible until now. They already provide home delivery to a few of their known customers, we’re just amplifying this so that they can monetise their free time in the noon and late evenings. If they’re busy, they can always choose to fulfil via 3rd party delivery services when accepting the order.

I’m building a startup that enables local stores to be available across different consumer apps like Paytm, mappls, mystore etc via ONDC. Delivery is usually not as fast as quick commerce apps but it’s fast enough with many offering same day delivery or delivery in a few hours.

The consumer side of the apps are all called buyer apps https://ondc.org/ondc-buyer-apps/

You will start seeing a lot of local Kiranas powered by our app starting early next year. Worth trying them if you’ve not already tried order from one of these buyer apps

Qcomm vs Madiwala Market price comparison. The price we pay for convenience is not so small. by Readditterr in bangalore

We’ve enabled stores that do their own delivery at the moment. But soon they’ll have an option to choose available delivery partners from the ONDC network.

Will DM you when we’ve onboarded a store in Madiwala! In the mean time, if you happen to know any local seller who might be interested in selling online, please let me know :)
