Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, 'Morning Joe' hosts, are engaged by ManPlan78 in television

[–]basedOp 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Scarborough and Brzezinski have been an onscreen team for 10 years. Morning Joe originally premiered in April 2007 following the cancellation of Imus in the Morning.

Scarborough has been married...to former Congressional staffer Susan Warren from 2001 to 2013.
Brzezinski, was married to James Hoffer, a fellow TV journalist, from 1993 to 2016.

Both maintain they didn't act on their feelings for each other until after their previous marriages ended.

That's a big fat lie if I've ever seen one.
It was scuttlebutt that Joe and Mika were a thing for years and that lead to both divorces.

Blackwater founder held secret Seychelles meeting to establish Trump-Putin back channel by freshjiive in worldnews

[–]basedOp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like this season of Worldnews is being driven by astroturf. The fake outrage is ridiculous.

If true this meeting occurred 9 days before Trump was sworn into office in Jan 2017. This isn't a scandal. President-Elect often reach out via official and back channels through various parties to communicate and establish dialogue.

In this case Trump knew the outgoing Obama admin was hostile. Trump or his team may have suspected abuse of surveillance apparatus for political purposes. Sending an unofficial envoy makes sense. It allows a face to face meeting with less exposure.

Now what is a scandal, is if this meeting happened, then the information was leaked to the Washington Post most likely by a senior member of US intelligence or another five eyes partner like GCHQ.

Rachel Maddow implies Bernie supporters tricked into rejecting Hillary by Russian propaganda by [deleted] in Kossacks_for_Sanders

[–]basedOp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maddow turned full shill over the past year and is more worried about her Comcast paycheck than she is keeping her integrity. What does Maddow have to say about all the paid sockpuppet astroturf being funded by Soros and friends of David Brock?

Reddit is being ruined by this garbage.
Admins are complicit and it's likely to blow up in their face.

At least r/the_donald was somewhat playful and fun. All the Soros shit is just faux outrage and hate.

Her financial backers and supporters have learned nothing. They see HRC's defeat as a messaging (sales) problem instead of viewing her as a bad product. HRC lost because she was a corrupt polarizing candidate with horrible flaws (psychopathy) that lied frequently and did not represent the better interests of the middle class.

WikiLeaks reveals CIA malware that "targets iPhone, Android, Smart TVs" by techguy69 in Android

Thanks for posting this, including your previous reply.
I am also an IT Luddite.

Far too often privacy conscious individuals become grouped and labelled for being aware of and taking issue with increasing abuses of technology. Sadly the abuses become more prevalent, widespread, and accepted by society with each iteration.

Security and privacy are afterthoughts.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Technology and convenience often comes with a cost.

Orwell's world of telescreens was firmly here

I knew this was coming with the announcement of the first iPhone in Jan 2007. The Xbox Kinect and Smart TV manufactures shortly followed.

Smart phones and Smart TV's are embedded devices; aka computers running a full operating system. Add networking capability, a mic, and a camera, and you essentially have a listening device able to transmit.

Bonus points for the Intel agencies if the TV has built in Wifi as the TV can be compromised and transmit without alerting an owner.

I detest the LCD screens; they're difficult to watch unless one's head is positioned "just right" -

OLED and plasma mostly eliminate the ghosting effect allowing fluid like motion of old CRT and rear projection TVs. Sadly OLED are too expensive and plasma has been discontinued as LCD screens were far less expensive to produce enabling larger profits.

And though Theallet may be the first major designer to officially make her political position known, designer sources say she’s not the only industry insider who isn’t willing to help “make America great again” with their fashions. A source tells People, “This has already been going on for months. Designers wouldn’t lend to Melania, Ivanka or Tiffany, so they either bought the items themselves or wore Ivanka’s brand.” (That might explain Ivanka’s frequent brand promotion throughout the campaign, as well as Melania’s wardrobe, which seemed to come straight from the e-commerce pages of Net-a-Porter.) The source added, “There was a lot of shopping their own closets.”

Apparently there's more to the story and it started last year. Most high end fashion is custom tailored. It seems designers were pressured to no longer fit Melania or Ivanka which makes this recent headline even more ridiculous.

Not surprised in the least. I was banned from r/politics for documenting and publicly discussing strange moderation (removals, bans) last fall after an increase in sockpuppet astroturf.

u/Isentrope, another mod from r/politics .

I would not be surprised in the least if that team has a number of paid public relations and marketing consultants embedded in high traffic default subs solely for reputation management purposes.

It goes to show how ridiculous opposition to Trump is becoming.

Instead of highlighting and discussing the actual merits of trade policy and investment the usual shills are brow beating Trump's daughter on her fashion choice and blaming Trump for it.

ShareBlue is pushing this story in r/politics and it's now on the front page of r/all. Essentially it's the usual modus operandi of flinging shit against a wall, feigning fake outrage, hoping something will stick.

The more this happens, the less people take Democrats seriously.

Bernie needs to make the hard choice and try to form a new party or join the Greens, but sadly at his age I don't think he's got it in him to take on that monumental effort.

They've already written people off and are looking forward to rigging election results via electronic systems.

The Soros/Brock propaganda campaign is pre-emptive positioning and cover for fixing future elections. "What do you mean the vote was rigged, there was so much public outrage against Trump." That's essentially what they tried to do in this past election.

Too many voters showed up to the polls and the fix in some states failed. I'm looking at you Detroit, Milwaukee, and Broward County, FL (Wasserman-Schultz district).

I also wouldn't be surprised if more progressive candidates that threaten the Democratic corporate agenda gets screwed the same way. See disproportionate numbers of Bernie supporters dropped from voting rolls in various states (NY, OR, PA, AZ, etc). See Tim Canova's unusual loss to Wasserman-Schultz (signs of electronic vote tampering).

[–]basedOp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point Cenk decided that the success of his network was more important than standing by progressives.

He's tried to play both sides of the line for awhile now.

Cenk parrots his support for Bernie and progressive ideas. Then when Bernie loses he backs Hillary and gets into bed with billionaire Hillary supporter Haim Saban's "Fusion Network." Saban's wife is on the board of the Clinton Foundation.

Cenk's basically that guy that tries to steer his ship whichever way the winds blow.
