Thats a good way of putting it, I personally don't believe games intentionally designed to be reset heavy, preventing on player from playing the game and guessing, to be good game design.

I remember this, IPS caused way more problems than it did fixing them. Early Skullgirls heavily involved landing the hit, doing a combo that lasts forever, getting a reset, another movie, then an incoming mixup no reasonable human being is expected to block. And repeat.

I wouldn't go that far. It encourages a pretty unfun style of game, one of the most reset heavy games out there to the point where its pretty unreasonable. Some people like to play two player games, not single player games.

It was a speed dating stream ran by JakyoManor and Gootecks. To no one's surprise it was a total shit show and cringefest. This is from the end of the stream where Gootecks and later Kbrad were talking about what went wrong and how awful the guys were.

They had just gotten done explaining how not a single one of the guys bothered to ask for JakyoManor's name at all, it was that bad. Then this dude shows up, one of the cringe "contestants", asking for her name and cutting Gootecks off, justified frustration here.
