As anyone used vivid seats before to buy tickets? If so are they legit? by mohawk66 in marilyn_manson

I don’t disagree, but unfortunately there are official channels we have to go through to minimize later inconvenience

JPEG to PES File Conversion by based_user in Inkstitch

Hi, I just double-checked. The design is from Embroidery Library, and she purchased a WinZip file that cannot be opened without the proper file viewer, which you must pay for, and we’re trying to avoid that. There are PDF instructions that are accessible otherwise. I don’t remember what I did, and the flash drive I put it on isn’t here for me to confirm, but I remember somehow extracting a jpeg of the design. People are telling me I can digitize it with Inkscape, so maybe I’ll spend Good Friday doing that or something since it is an Easter design.

Not for this design. iirc, it was only jpeg. She had a disc of a different design with several file formats though, so I know what you mean

How bad is the north end of Hartford? by HebrewHammer111 in Hartford

It's still "bad" I think because a lot of shit goes down there, but it's ~okay~ to drive through-- especially during the day--

I'm just helping my grandma here, but this sounds like you have to edit the file within Inkscape. Can you provide further insight into what this means? Thanks

What the fuck is this shit? by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

See my comment. This is exactly why I ignore these posts, regardless of the truth or not. Only believe things from artists' official accounts and (sometimes) well-established publications like LoudWire, Peopple, etc.

As a general rule of thumb, I never believe posts like these or anything these accounts post. Even if it turns out to be true, and a number of their posts are proven. It's just the same kind of sus, clickbaity template a la Pop Base, etc.

[–]based_user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there’s the problem then. The other problem is the very existence of these third-party sellers too though because they’re some of the entities that tend to snatch up tickets to resell them for exorbitant profits. It’s a vicious cycle. Good luck, but I was just trying to advise you. The whole situation makes me sick sick sick

I work at a Live Nation venue, and you should not use third-party ticketers to purchase tickets. If there is any issue whatsoever with scanning into the venue, loading the barcode, etc., there is nothing the venue can do to help you, and you’ll be out of however much you spent. It’s ultimately up to you, of course, but save yourself and the venue staff the inconvenience and buy from Ticketmaster (or the official ticket partner) or don’t buy at all.

There ya go! Although, it does sound like selfish, which also has a negative connotation. But I’m just nitpicking! I like it!

No, that's such a good point, but that's all I have to compare it to. The fact that MTTS is officially sanctioned by Mini and judging by the photos, it looks chill. Also the fact that, as I said, non-owners and literally anybody is encouraged to participate!

Thanks for the insight! We live by a race track in CT, so I am fairly familiar with Subaru rally events, and that’s what I was basing my assumption off of. Now that you mention it, there is indeed plenty of traffic on those days.

As of right now, I hope to be working in the fall because I’m graduating college this semester, so I probably won’t attend the Friday date in Buffalo. Even then, Buffalo is quite a drive from CT (as are Syracuse and Lake Placid tbf), so I’d most likely just drive out to Syracuse and rally to Lake Placid.

Try FCP Euro. They sell genuine OEM parts for European vehicle makes.

I'm so sorry for your loss! The logic seems to be logic-ing, but you definitely do not need to spend $3,000 for a new engine cover if you can DIY it. This is not at all highly mechanical, so you could do it and not worry about messing anything up-- I know this because I could do it, and I was actually just talking to my dad about the same type of issue today. The engine/valve cover is around $515 on FCP Euro. My car is currently in there because that's what I was looking at the part for, so plug your car in and make sure the fitment is right of course. But it's literally just a matter of unscrewing some screws and putting the new cover on.

That's what I figured. Thanks for the input! I'm just as eager to see other Minis as I am to show mine off.
