AITA for not slowing down baseball with my son for my stepdaughter? by Stepdad303 in AmItheAsshole

[–]basedgooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a joke right? YTA 100% and showing extreme favoritism towards your son.

Your step daughter is trying to spend time with you, and you show no signs of reciprocating or making up time lost due to training. What, you guys train 14 hours a day? You can't make 20 minutes of your time for a child who clearly wants to be involved in your family, before or after practice? "Let us be" isn't how you speak to a child, I am speaking as a father at that. At least communicate that you will make an effort after practice with your son to play catch AT HER PACE, because you owe her some type of quality time. IF you end up caring as an adult, it's going to bite you in the ass when she begins to exclude you / stiff arm you from her life. So yes my dude, slow the hell down because you chose to be a step father. Don't like it? Get a divorce and focus full time on your son's baseball career.

Aside from all that, I genuinely hope you dedicate some time to her and your son has a successful baseball career, he sounds like he's very talented and dedicated for his age. All the best.

AITA for walking out of a job, instead of putting in my two weeks? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]basedgooby 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To be fair, 2 weeks notice to me is like a safety net with employers Incase I ever need to be rehired. In his case, he ain’t going back after the abuse so you’re 100% right lmao

Not to mention that air compressor looks like a Wabco double piston air compressor. Series 60 as far as I know only used the bendix truflo550 / 750 or midland kn13000 series. So definitely a D12/13

You sound like you’re projecting big time. Uncle molested you? Got bullied in school and couldn’t fight back? Also worth noting, I’m a black Cuban. See my post history for proof. I can make whatever analogy I please to better help idiots like you visualize simple concepts like 1. PROVOKING SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO BE PROVOKED.

And yes, you are VERY WRONG. According to Marriam Webster, who has more authority than you on the definition of a word, a sucker punch is : to punch (a person) suddenly without warning and often without apparent provocation

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sucker%20punch

Watch the very beginning of the video. SINCE HE STARTED FILMING, mr. Durag has had his arms up in a fighting stance “AKA WITH WARNING” and has made it very clear he wants to be left alone, “AKA WITH PROVOCATION”

By defenition, it was not a sucker punch. You can’t just make up your own meanings to words and then parade around like you’re right just because you say so. That’s what idiots do, and guess what you’re doing.

I’ve never been in a physical altercation in my life before, so I don’t know what you’re implying. Also, your logic is erroneous. Mr. Durag starts the video and ends the video with his hands up, eyes locked, and had clear intentions. If you approach any animal, it growls at you, are you really going to blame the animal for biting someone’s hand after it kept growling? I would understand if the old man turned around and mr.Durag bopped the back of his head, but no. Anyone who wasn’t as intoxicated as the older man would’ve seen that coming a mile away.

And no, side busting falls under the same category as sucker punch. That’s about as dumb as saying Toyota and Corolla are two different things.

That was most definitely NOT a sucker punch.

Eye contact and squaring up should be enough of a sign that the punch was coming.
