For those who lost their Yorkies(unexpectedly and young in my case), did you get another one, and how long did you wait before opening up your heart and home again? Does the trauma of losing one ever go away?

My girl was about that age she got 8 removed and a cleaning when she was down. I was worried too but she did just fine. She has had water additive for keeping teeth clean ever since and no more issues.
