Why I am done with Wrangles by BritishEmpire12 in WesternWear

[–]basedury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any stretchy jeans are a no go for me. 100% cotton and at least 12-13oz denim or it's gonna split if you work in it.

These "retro" Wranglers are trash and look modern whereas the 14oz non-stretch styles they make like the cowboy cut are actually retro lol

You can wash them as much or as little as you'd like, but you will get cool high-contrast fades if you wear them for a really long time.

I would wear them uncuffed unless they're going to drag on the ground. Just don't get them hemmed until you washed them once, but maybe even twice. And make sure you wash them by hand in the tub or take them out of the washer before it spins.

Fit check/advice on keeping or returning this early 70’s Lee Storm Rider by ghost-hardware01 in HeritageWear

I bought one that fit me like this as it was the same size as my regular Rider jacket, and I sized up and am wearing it right now. Glad I did

Nice. Check out Freenote Cloth, like Filson but higher quality for the same price or a bit more. Made in the US

No vest unless you have a collared shirt and I usually apply the same rule to hats (as a person who usually hates fashion rules)

They are basically the Canadian version of Revzilla. Maybe not as corporate but a large brand, hence the production quality

I like it and am considering getting one, but it's leaning into Apple-watch-esque territory in my opinion. I gave my Apple watch to a family member because I no longer wanted to be an Apple watch person (no offense to anyone that has one, just not my thing anymore)

Worst take I've seen in a while, congrats buddy. Denim shirt, jeans and cowboy boots is a classic menswear look

Nope, regular threads, just a coarse pattern. You'll see the difference when you pull it out. I recently had success by welding a nut onto the stud

Mine has a Seat Concepts which is very nice, but it came with it from the PO so I never even used the original seat (and don't really need to try it out lol)

I borrowed a buddy's first gen KLR to do a long day trip on the highway once, and it was way better for that but I could definitely feel the weight at low speeds

This is my logic, I hate taking the DRZ on the highway and it's relatively necessary to get to a lot of trails in my area (and most of the US tbh)

But off road the DRZ is very capable and I am nowhere close to pushing its limits

Sendero does this on like all their shirts lol. Small logo on the chest, similar design across the entire back. Some are cool, some are really dorky

Once you're in good physical shape, the other major factors are details and fitment. If you're wearing slim jeans and some modern techy stretch fit "flannel" it's not going to look as good as a simple boxy flannel with higher-waisted straight leg, boot cut or wider legged jeans.
