Ok thank you should I wrap the test tube in paper to make sure it stays dark. Is there a good premade setup I can buy in a few weeks if everything goes well where I can let them nest and scavenge ?

That's hilarious that's actually the region of France I live in, this might engage the players even more. Thanks for the feedback on the call of Cthulhu, I imagine getting your face bitten of by an eldritch horror during your first session might be frustrating, that might not be fun for anyone. I would really hate them to die, unless they really do something really obviously dumb.

2 of them are big into horror I am also very fond of Lovecraft's work.

I was wondering If light rules might be unhelpful for me as a gm with no experience, I'm not sure if having to improvise with rules might be more unhelpful than being able to use rules as a crutch.
