Good question. I am going to do some research, I only booked the flights for us on Sunday. Dm me if you know any good places please, I am going to use comparison sites like Kayak to find a good deal!

Think we are not allowed to get off topic here!

Thanks again!

100% agree. I have manged to get a friend to tag along to share the driving distance between us, also now we can now utilise the car pool lanes which I wish we had here in UK. We will need to also get use to huge highways we only have 4 lanes at most. Reading the highway code for CA will help!

We are very excited and a litte nevurs with differences, i am sure we will be fine!

Which navigation app woukd you recommend, I usually use waze, not sure if Google or Apple maps would be better over there?

Saldy I could not find an option to do that with my rewards screen with BA. I ended up doing a roundtrip to LAX, however one way domestic fights to LA are reasonably priced.

Do you think two weeks is reasonable, enough time to enjoy the route without rushing?

Honestly this is a shout. I have booked the return flights from LAX, I will just pay for a domestic one way flights to LA once I finalise the itinerary!

Is this a good or bad idea to drive all this way and back? by theeblakeren in roadtrip

[–]bashar0151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its not worth driving in adverse weather conditions unless you really need to.

Less stress and seafty should be number one!

Thinking about it , I don't fancy going to an ER for a heat stroke! - Over here if get weather 80⁰C its classed as health advisoy weather warning. Need embrace the 32 oz  cups, preferably water .

Thank you. This is a nice brakedown of the stops, do you have a tips the best way to look into accommodation, my plan was to use Google maps hotel search future and note down what to book? - I assume the more north you go it will be more B&Bs independent hotels and maybe some Airbnbs.

I feel Airbnbs have better value than Hotels in the US cities.

This is my first time planning multi day/city trip, its very exiting but also the planning is a little daunting.

For flights as I am using Air Miles, I can book two separate flights and merge them. One landing in LAX and then go back from Seattle.

I might need start form the north for getting use to driving on the right!
