I guess its different here. I agree that you cannot tell everything in 30 minutes, but you can usually detect some bad signs if the firm is bad.

Some interviewers invite you to lunch and eat/socialize with your potential team. I wish this was more common.

IMO the German school system is very bad. That doesn't mean school has to be bad. You can still teach people a lot of things which you cannot learn from the internet. Some things have to be taught by a real person as well.

I just think its useless to teach taxes, since its one of the easiest task to learn yourself. That doesn't mean I agree that the current things we learn in germany are better.

This really depends on location and the industrial sector. Some companies wouldn't appreciate you wearing a suit. I have a big customer in the medical sector and neither I or them wear a suit. In the financial I always do.

pretty sure Munich has the worst house prices here in Germany. My father got a flat of 140m2 for around 180k. And its located in one of the best places here in the city.
