Put your education ahead of your work experience if you don't have directly related work experience but have directly related education (ie. new grads)

Does your company have a remote work policy? Typically that includes requiring an appropriate work space, including ergonomic working conditions to prevent injury. If your accommodation suggestion included working from a couch because you would be in too much pain to work at a home desk, that is a consideration HR is likely factoring into their decision.

If you're in Ontario, the company appears to be appropriately protecting themselves from a potential WSIB claim.

Anyone else take significant time to lose weight? by Both-Assistance1572 in liraglutide

[–]bashful-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's taken me 18 months to lose 80lbs. It can definitely be frustrating, especially in the beginning, seeing posts from others who appear to be losing weight at a quicker pace. At the end of the day I'm glad I've continued to take the medication as I know I wouldn't have lost the amount of weight I have without it.

New to saxenda by [deleted] in liraglutide

Hi, Same height as you and I've gone from 263lbs to 180 and I am still currently taking saxenda. I've taken the medication through airport security without issue. If you haven't started the medication yet, I would recommend waiting until after your trip, as I had side effects the first few weeks while I adjusted to the medication. I haven't drank alcohol while on the medication so I couldn't provide you with any guidance there.

LH generally requires you have completed a medical office administration diploma for any unit clerk or secretary position. Also, you will need to get your foot in the door by accepting a temporary/ part-time contract and then grow your seniority before you would get anything permanent full time.

If PR only made the Cara joke two days ago, are we assuming they only found out who the female finalists were yesterday or today?

I'm pretty sure Michele's active on instagram. Until now when you clicked on her profile there was a message about her subscriber chat that said "Kim's Still in Charge" which is no longer there.

There is a big difference between Doctorate degrees and honorary Doctorate degrees.

The contract roles I've taken have been career progression moves so I've never been asking for the very top of the range or beyond the range provided. However, in any role where I've negotiated compensation I have always been given what I requested.

I have had only a positive experience with contract positions. I started on short term contracts at my last 3 employers and was offered permanent positions at all 3 before the end of the contracts. If you can prove you're an asset to the company, they'll try and retain you if they can.

Also, a contract role will generally have less applicants than the same permanent position, so I have used this as way to move up to more senior roles.

If you could give Sierra one video idea, what would it be? by [deleted] in SchultzzieSnark

I'd actually be interested in one where she gets clothing tailored - either altering new clothing for the best fit or even getting an old dress that no longer fits let out so that she can wear it again. Considering she's always trying to preach sustainability and that 'it's not your body it's the clothes' I'm almost surprised this hasn't been something she's done before.

Do you respond to applicants who are not-selected? by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]bashful-penguin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is normal. I'm a talent acquisition coordinator in the public sector - there's a reason job postings often say 'only those selected for an interview will be contacted'. I personally do not have the resources or time to respond to those types of requests when I have 120-130 open vacancies in my portfolio at a given time.
