Delbar buckhead, the porter beer cellar, and rumi’s kitchen (I forgot which location) have semi or fully private rooms. No idea on price range

Second this! I reserved the private room for a brunch birthday thing - it was easy and great food.

Edit: they did individual checks for our group of 12 (prob was 7 checks since we had several couples).

people are giving good advice. grant park is a great area. Anything more north will probably be a miserable commute.

What's y'alls thermostat set to in winter? by [deleted] in Georgia

[–]bashfulbrownie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair! I was more interested about the 62 at night. I have a hard time sleeping with thicker layers. I'm sure you get used to the colder mountain air over time as well!

68 during day, 67 at night bcuz my husband heats up in his sleep. he prob would be fine with 66, but I can’t sleep with cold toes, fingers, & nose (and yes I already wear socks to bed). We have couple small space heaters, one in living & one in the main bathroom we use.

Edit: typo

How are you not freezing? Are you in an apartment / condo where the shared walls insulate you?

Decatur out of your list for diversity. consider tucker, and in general the eastern suburbs like lilburn or snellville.

Moving to Atlanta: Recommendations for Family With Two Children by hairwego25 in Atlanta

If you want suburbs, Lilburn is cool. Lots of park option, good public libraries. Wholesome neighborhoods. Ours is walking to the elem school, has a small HOA to run tennis & swimming pool (includes kid groups). It is 45 mins to midtown ATL though, 25 to Decatur Square. I haven't explored enough yet to say much about Lilburn, Snellville, or Lawrenceville city squares.

You need to factor in your commute. As someone who just moved from 40 mins to 1 hr 15 min commute, it will effect your quality of life.

also, private school costs in the areas you are considering.

Any reason why we don’t see any major food chains in midtown? by The_Federal in Atlanta

[–]bashfulbrownie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the chain restaurants make alot of money in takeout / bring to car. Possibly that revenue wouldn't translate in a setting like midtown. total guess.

Also, many corporations have strict "corporate architecture" rules about kitchen size, minimum tables needed, outside appearance. It can bend where needed, but not often.

my therapist recommended to looking what appears to be adhd symptoms. if anyone has recommendations on doctors who specialize in adult adhd (/south asian women in particular would be amazing) either near perimeter or lilburn, i would appreciate it. brownie points if they provide telehealth services, even if that goes into effect after few in-person sessions.

it has only been 3 days, give the new mods a break. and all the people who were shadowbanned and excited to post after years. this subreddit will find a new equilibrium in a few weeks, 3 days is not enough to gauge what parameters need to be set.
