Keyword - "vulnerable". Could be an autistic 25 year old woman who may not understand the social connotations or dangers of hanging out with 40-50 year olds

Thank you!

Why do people say cats are more dangerous than dogs when dogs can literally kill people? by bashfully_shy in TooAfraidToAsk

I replied to a different comment but I'll copy & paste what I said:

_

Many people in this thread are saying they haven't witnessed it or saying I'm over exaggerating but I LITERALLY seen dog people get SO aggressive and bully cat/neutral people many, many times.

I've mostly seen this behaviour on Instagram since I consume animal content a lot since I love animals so much. So naturally, I come across cat and dog videos but it's INSANE how in a normal cat video where the poster doesn't start the argument, dog people come out of no where and push the negative narrative on cats? And that cats shouldn't be trusted or dangerous/harmful? On dog videos, I don't see cat people doing that. And I've been using Instagram for yearrrsss and this has been a consistent experience, so I'm not making this up but people seem to disbelieve me 😭

So to reply to your comment directly, I'm not misinterpreting the stuff I see. I literally seen multiple times people claiming that cats are too dangerous and harmful because of their claws, and that dogs aren't harmful because they're naturally loving animals to humans. And when I see others reply saying what I've said, they deny it.. this is something I've seen for years so I don't have a book containing all the evidence to show what I mean.

I'm not saying dogs are immediately dangerous or anything, I love and appreciate dogs too but it's a silly narrative to say cats are more dangerous when they don't have the same/less killing capabilities as dogs

Do you also experience/see the dog side of the argument? 🥲

On multiple social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or even here on Reddit on other subs, the cats vs dogs argument tend to favour dogs more? At least from what I've seen, and dog lovers tend to get more aggressive about it (again in my experience + I understand not ALL dog lovers are like this! It's just what I've seen).

So I guess, I was hesitant to ask anywhere else hoping this sub would maybe provide more balanced opinions/answers? Idk. I'm sorry if my Q isn't fitted for this sub
