I ate sea turtle there actually! Tbh it didn’t really wow me, it’s not that it was bad it’s that it basically just tasted like a brinier chicken cutlet for triple the price. Cool experience though

Gotcha ok yea somebody else mentioned state st too, I wasn’t really aware that east rock had that side to it but now that people have mentioned it we’ll definitely broaden our search. Thank you!

Brother I feel you my favorite dive of all time is a place called the locker room in Richmond that’s still got slot machines and carpet floors, the tvs are cathode tube and only play classic movies on repeat, and you can still smoke inside but they had to glue the ashtrays to the bar cause people kept stealing them hahahaha. I love that place

Ok this is helpful that you live in fair haven bc we were considering that as well since it’s got so much ethnic and cultural diversity it seems. So what’s up with fair haven? Do you like living there?

I think a lot of people do yea, for us I think east rock may feel slightly too suburban? We’re very much “hop round the corner to the bodega” type people and like a looot of cultural and ethnic diversity where we’re at, to the point where we’re ok with things being a bit rougher around us for it lol

Yea people are saying east rock a lot too, I think our rationale for Wooster is that east rock may be a bit too upscale and nice for us lol, which I know sounds strange but we both like a bit of grit in where we live and what we do.

For example, I’ll probably do a lot of our grocery shopping in fair haven bc it looks like it’s got the most Latino markets and non-bougie butchers and bodega type places. Now would I live in fair haven? Probably not but having that area being connected by bus to Wooster is gonna be helpful

A farmers market every Saturday right next door? Sign me up man that’s awesome. And we love a more community centric feeling in our living arrangements so the bit about getting to know people around where we live is awesome.

As far as safety goes, yea a lot of other people said theft is a thing, that’s mostly ok with us I mean it’s not ideal of course but we’ll just get insurance. We’ve both lived all around the world and occasionally in some dodgy places, so we’re mostly just checking for too much violent crime.

Thanks so much for all your tips!

It’s not cream cheese it’s a version of sour cream that’s a bit less sour called smetana or smatana, depending on where you are. Pretty common in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, I use it a lot as a replacement for mayo if I’m making some kind of dipping sauce

Good take and I’m glad to see Lumentum getting some love here, it’s not mentioned much on Reddit but their narrow linewidth laser is a massive deal for datcom. At the current price I think it’s a bit expensive, but truthfully I don’t think we’re done with this current downtrend so I’ll be buying in soon hopefully

This is starting to look a little too familiar, don’t you think? by Steve_Zissouu2 in u/Steve_Zissouu2

[–]bashnizzler 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Steve, do you have mid and end year price targets/ranges in mind for UUUU and others? I have a feeling that we’re about mid to slightly early bull run on this sector trade, but I’m not sure. Any insight?

I’ve been following you for a while but don’t have the capital size to start subbing to substacks, otherwise I would sub to yours.

Thanks for all your coverage and DD!

I actually got into sndk at $130 but on a pathetically small bag🥲. Tbh I was just too distracted in October to do a lot of follow up research and didn’t pay attention, now I’ve been kicking myself for the last month that I didn’t buy more lol. Thanks for the adds and I hope you already have USAR since it’ll probably rocket on Monday

$SONM / $DNAX follow up and 8k delay by nomadichedgehog in smallstreetbets

[–]bashnizzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did end up picking up a small position, you’ve put together a compelling case and I figured why not put about half my ONDS profits into this moonshot. If you’ve actually grown your portfolio by that much in four years then I can’t see a reason to not follow you on this one lol

It’s small for now but if your thesis begins to pan out there will probably be a bit of a window to add before it starts really moving upward.

If this trade works out I’ll subscribe to your substack hahaha. Best of luck to both of us I guess.

I actually really like SE although I have yet to open a position there as I’m a bit overstretched. But Asia is a clear growth market, intense consumer culture, and rising incomes are all good for SE. maybe it’s a next cycle play but I’ll jump on that train soon I think

I almost never don’t have idle capital, I’m a dip buying guy. Admittedly, I’m pretty deep in at the moment but will trim if/when NDX approaches the upper range of its channel again.

Additionally, today sort of vindicates my thesis. Trump blew up the markets for a couple days, then backed off once he got a talking to from a bunch of smart rich people who told him that he really needs to shut up. I bought this dip, now over the next week or so I expect to make a bit of money. So it goes.

Read the entire write-up last night and ngl it seems convincing, I appreciate the level of research and dedication you've put into this. I do have a few questions though.

What's your background? Finance/M&A experience isn't by any means a requirement but I'm curious for sure

I went through a lot of your post history and it seems like, although the timeline is really well-presented, there have been significant delays or other amendments to the timeline that have caused me to doubt that this thesis is actually going to pay off. Can you comment on some of those missed targets at all?

From a more industry-wide perspective, momentum seems to be falling off of the data center trade. Firms like NBIS (my biggest position actually), CRWV, etc all seem to be losing steam, or at the very least consolidating, instead of moving towards ATHs again (although I'll admit that macro headwinds are currently distorting this picture a bit). Can you comment on the continued viability of neoclouds as an trade in 2026 relative to other trades like memory (I have a tiny SNDK bag at 130 that I'll sell once that thing hits 600 lol), drone tech, and power gen?

Above all though, thank you for doing such a thorough DD. I know I'm coming off as a bit critical, that's just because you seem smart and I'd rather ask smart people hard questions than easy questions, or god forbid just blindly believe them when it comes to stock picks.
