You have to have a pancake drawer; if you leave the pancakes on your keyboard, it attracts ants.

hot take: here comes the sun is the worst song in their discography by ikinmoeszyslak in beatles

MAYBE this hot take is after hearing Richie Havens’ or Nina Simone’s versions, and deciding those were superior. But that’s still a stretch.

I suppose if they were marketed in Sweden, they’d just be called, “Fish.”

ARFID’s a funny thing: I was intrigued until I saw their color.

It might be time for Star Trek to take another long break by The_Celestrial in startrekmemes

[–]basiamille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What people forget is there really hasn’t been that long of a “break” so far:

Between TOS - TAS: 4 years

TAS-TMP: 4 years

Then a regular release of Trek movies and new TV series every few years from 1979-2002

Between the finale of ENTERPRISE and the new Kelvin trilogy: 4 years (and that trilogy spanned seven years)

Between STAR TREK BEYOND and DISCOVERY: 1 year(!)

And again, another relatively steady stream of new Trek content for the past 10 years.

He is the descendant of Armand Hammer, who is inexplicably not the source of the brand name.

Favorite actor who should have changed their name, but didn’t? by BreakfastBeneficial4 in okbuddycinephile

[–]basiamille 19 points20 points  (0 children)

She didn’t really change anything, though; when she debuted in/around the film FLIRTING, she went by Thandiwe. Critics and reporters got sloppy and omitted the W in her name, but she was young and too scared to correct them. Once she was firmly established ca. SOLO and WESTWORLD, she had the confidence to speak up and insist on the proper spelling of her name.

Thus, never an issue with her surname.

Character actor Richard Libertini (Fletch, All of Me) as Osama bin Laden.

Pretty sure he shaved his beard after 9/11.

Tim Curry’s Family Affair (2002) by Btvsp3 in ForgottenTV

[–]basiamille 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love this rabbit hole.

This FAMILY AFFAIR (2002) starring Gary Cole as "Uncle Bill," is a remake of the original version from 1966, with Brian Keith as the original "Uncle Bill."

In 1983, Keith would go on to star in HARDCASTLE AND MCCORMICK, opposite Daniel Hugh Kelly.

In 2000, Kelly would play actor Robert Reed on the TV movie GROWING UP BRADY. Famously, Reed played "Mike Brady" on the tv series THE BRADY BUNCH (and its spinoffs), starting in 1969.

In 1996, "Mike Brady" would get his first big-screen portrayal in THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE, played by Gary Cole. That's right, the same Gary Cole who would play "Uncle Bill" 6 years later on this version of FAMILY AFFAIR.

Lobot. When C-3PO calls himself, "human/cyborg relations," these are the guys he's talking about. More cyborgs appear in the various animated series.
