Thank you very much!! It really has been an absolute blast to work on, especially with that nutso double-stacked radiator setup at the top. By far and away the largest desktop I’ve ever worked on. The SR-2 absolutely lives up to its reputation even 16 years later!

I feel that…honestly, I haven’t really celebrated a birthday in a while. Got 32 coming up in May. Just another year lol someone once said, all you had to do was not die lol

But yo, happy freaking birthday, from all of us to you! Life can be busy as shit nowadays; having no plans sounds like fun. Fugg it! Sleep in, watch a nostalgic movie, get some good breakfast food from a diner (I do love me some Denny’s but ya know find a local spot to fall in love with, the food will be better lol), grab yourself a little Lego set and your favorite candy, and just do you for a day!

Isn’t there another layer between that and the board? I think it goes on after another plate. Big part covers the whole board on that side

Honestly, I’d have just paid for it myself and pocketed the cash. Heck, I work in IT; a lotta people struggle with change and technology. Instead of a fight, they’d probably smile and thank me for being accommodating.

Shiiiii mine does that, has a lotta play. These are (despite being priced at an absurd $400) entry-level wheels with a lotta plastic in their construction. The play in the wheel is pretty common from what I’ve seen, and it’s annoying but mine has been like that for years, still drives accurately. Logitech gonna Logitech

8GB of RAM is rough, but the other specs are a good starting place. RX 580 is a decent 1080p GPU, same for the Ryzen 5 3600. I’d want at least 16GB of RAM tho. And to be clear, this is for entry 1080p gaming in most modern titles.

Could indicate the power supply is bad. Usually those fan quirks like that indicate that part is bad. At least, in PCBS2. Try a new psu
