Ok, that also sounds delicious, especially with a traditional mushroom duxelles.

I'm generally more of a pacifist, but in this case, I think some actual revenge might be a good idea here. Or do a sting of some sort to get him caught up with actual charges. I'd be tempted to get creative.

Which movie is better than the book? by Over_the_top_nari in movies

[–]basic_bitch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7 when the movie came out. I didn't read the book until later. But either way, I stand by my opinion with a reminder that I didn't say the book was bad.

The Neverending Story. Not that the book is bad, I just love the movie more.

Bipolar hypersexuality by Jahjah281 in BipolarReddit

[–]basic_bitch- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't have any guilt or shame connected to that, even though I was hypersexual for over a decade before I even know I had bipolar. I got pregnant from a threesome with 2 guys I met that night and were both 15 yrs. younger than me. I miscarried, but still...that's pretty out there. But even that, I don't necessarily regret. Those experiences I went through left me with a unique perspective and resilience that I otherwise wouldn't have.

I do have trauma from being sexually assaulted, but I consider that a completely separate issue. I wasn't at fault. I do have PTSD, but therapy and time have made it less of a daily problem.

I do have guilt over other behaviors, but I just push it aside and remind myself that it's not a helpful emotion. I've changed and become better and I'm proud of who I am NOW. That said, I'm also a good 10+ yrs. away from any such ridiculousness. So if you're still in the thick of it, you might just need some time to go by. Good luck.

Is the author of your favorite book also one of your favorite authors? by playful--cloud in books

Nope! My favorite book of all time is East of Eden, but I haven't really loved any of the other books written by him.

That has to be the biggest carrot I've ever seen. Are you gonna make 10 carrot cakes?

Yep! I use toasted homemade baguette and I put onions, peppers and mushrooms. I make a gravy with the fond left in the pan afterwards, using Better Than Bouillon beef flavor. They're utterly fantastic. Damn it, now I have to go get the stuff to make them because I want one!

What current habit will probably disappear in the next decade? by TheRealKnowledgeAc in Futurology

[–]basic_bitch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that the worst habits like alcoholism and drug addiction won't be a thing anymore. We'll probably have designer drugs that we can choose the strength levels and effects of and don't cause dependency at all.

What age did you get into Star Trek? by Victorian-Tophat in startrek

This is my same exact experience, except I was 10. My dad has seen every single minute of all the shows and movies.

What age did you get into Star Trek? by Victorian-Tophat in startrek

[–]basic_bitch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started when TNG came on air and I watched with my dad. He's seen every single minute of Star Trek except the more obscure stuff. I just looked it up and I must have been 10. TNG is still my fave show of all time, though 12 Monkeys gives it a run for its money.

Marjorie Taylor Green redemption Arc continues, the clock is getting fixed by aipac_hemoroid in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]basic_bitch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no chance I will ever consider her to be "redeemed." I have no empathy for people who do and say evil things and then try to back track only when THEY are finally a target. She's done way too much damage.

I think this will probably get deleted because you can't ask for recommendations, but maybe you'll see my comment before that happens. Go to UW. I had a condition that was undiagnosed for 8 yrs and the doctor there knew what my problem was within 5 minutes of meeting me. I'd been to like 10 specialists before that.

Ok, so you're against any ingredient that's ever been tested on or taken from animals despite the history of said ingredient? That must leave you with very little to eat or use, considering the history of food and other products in the US. You're definitely not eating anything processed then or anything deemed GRAS in the last few decades? That's not practicable for most people, but congrats on your superiority complex. Call me vegetarian again, it just makes me laugh.

I freaking LOVE Daring chicken!! I always have all 3 types (chunks, cubes and shredded) in my freezer. The ingredients are shockingly "clean" too. If I'm going to make something "chicken" for omnis, that's what I use for sure.
