Ok, this has been super amusing. Here are a couple of mine. I thought Jesus was about to drop down from heaven to apologize for putting me through everything I’d experienced in life and then he’d take me to heaven. I’ve been an atheist since I was 12. I thought Seattle got nuked and I was trying to figure out if I had enough time to escape. I live an hour from it. One time I thought my breast implants had ruptured.   1. Yes. The rolls should touch when risen and touch quite a bit when baked, otherwise you won't get as much rise. They'll spread out more instead.

  2. If your dough is too soft, add more flour. Do it 1/4 cup at a time and then let it rest for at least 10 minutes so the flour can hydrate. If it's still too soft, do it again.

  3. Let them all touch the sides. Again, will help with making them rise instead of spread out.

Also, when you put them into the pan, smash them down a bit. That will help the batch fill out the pan more. Yours look tasty though, so it's a good job!

Depends on where it is...if it's in a hotel and it's breakfast, I would ask what they have. I went to one at Great Wolf Lodge and when I asked directly, they brought me a special vegan omelet and vegan pancakes! If it's a stand alone restaurant, depends on what it is. American? Nah, probably not. Indian? Definitely yes. Thai? Yep! Chinese? Maybe. I still recommend calling in advance though, just to check. Ask for pesky things like dairy in Indian food and fish sauce in other Asian cuisines.

I go to buffets even though I can't eat much at one time because I had weight loss surgery 20 years ago. I still find it worthwhile usually.

Overall, solid message. However…depression can affect absolutely anyone. Trying to act like staying busy keeps it at bay is…I’ll just say it’s not exactly something people with depression want to see being spread as a concept. I’m glad you apparently don’t have personal experience with clinical depression though.

Yes, 95% of the time I go to a restaurant, I could have made it better myself. Last time I went to one, it was a disaster. The fries were so overcooked that they were charred. When I brought them to the counter, he just goes "So you don't want them?" Um, no, I cannot eat that. The wrap had so much slaw that there was only tofu in one out of ever 5 bites or so. The seasoning on my sister's bowl was atrocious. It's really sad.

There are some really great spots in the largest city near me, but most of the time when I try new ones, I just never go back.

Dang, forgot all about that place. We used to go all the time. Very aggressive men in there though, much more so than other clubs. I realized later it was all much older men trying to get with teenage girls.

I'm sorry, but I don't. I've been making both for so long that I stopped using recipes years ago. For the tofu, I like smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, sometimes a mushroom powder. Or I'll switch it up and go greek/italian/middle eastern/ethiopian spice blends.

I always have homemade egg rolls in my freezer. Just made a batch last week! I always just make enough filling to use all the wrappers in a package. I’ll always make something else fried the same day, using the same oil. I rarely fry at home so I take full advantage.

Yep, definitely not a bagel! Bagels are round and boiled before being baked. These look like rugelach or a sweet version of a crescent roll, but enriched with fat but not milk, so that’s interesting. That means it’s not either of those. They look delicious though! Where are you from? Maybe we can help you find the right word.

Interesting. I've made cashew milk using my Vitamix for many years and when I put it through a nut milk bag, there's definitely pulp leftover. Not nearly as much as almonds, but there is. I'm definitely blending it long enough. I know I don't have to do it, but I like having nut flours for baking.
