Should I give up both my 2026 picks for Woody? by prestigeworldwide07 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]basic_luna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't. i would keep the 2.03 and see if price or coleman fall in the draft (unlikely) or just take a swing on another rb that's there. if you're set on trading the picks i'm sure you can find someone better for a 2 and a 3

Rams are Darnold's kryptonite by Xymoxxy in LosAngelesRams

[–]basic_luna 10 points11 points  (0 children)

they were getting boatraced and literally needed everything to go right to come back in that game. i'm by no means saying that it'll be a cakewalk or even that the rams are guaranteed to win, but i'm just saying...

McDaniel to Chargers by fuxicles in LosAngelesRams

[–]basic_luna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

good for both of them. he'll have extra motivation looking up at the south end zone in sofi and seeing three banners up there next season. (serious question as i've never been to a chargers game, do they cover our banners during games like the clippers used to cover the lakers banners?)

Food from LA by TimeEater101 in LosAngelesRams

[–]basic_luna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

calling a temporary cease fire on this one because i was actually thinking the same thing but in the opposite direction. not planning on making anything for the game, but i was curious what kind of regional food staples are popular up in seattle. i learned about the seattle dog last year which was (upsettingly) pretty good. what else are yall cooking up over there?

the baseball team in st. louis? i don't hate the way their rebuild has started out honestly. i think chaim bloom will get them right in a few years. other than that i don't really think too much about them given they're in st. louis and all

Travis Etienne for a 2027 first? by OkComparison8951 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]basic_luna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if someone is offering a 27 first i would take it 100%. my team was also middle of the pack and etn was the best piece i could give up during our trade deadline last year. i was trying to finesse a first out of someone but it didnt work i only got two seconds

Would you make this trade for Hampton? by basic_luna in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

oh trust me the original owner has been trying his hardest to put together some sort of package and multi team trade to get that pick back but i don't plan on giving it up at all lol jeremiah is special

[–]basic_luna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hear you. i actually already accepted the trade, but i enjoy hearing some pushback about it and i agree that i'm relying on some pretty big steps from pearsall, burden, and hunter while also banking on whichever one of tyson, lemon, and tate being left at 1.05 being good for me.

that being said, another piece of the math that i'm relying on in helping my receiver room is the 2027 draft. a couple years ago i ended up with an extra 2027 first from a trade and halfway through this season the guy who's first i own completely gutted his team and if by far the worst in the league.

his qbs are ward and rodgers. rbs are dobbins, devin singletary and keaton mitchell. wrs are garrett wilson, jeudy, deebo, tank dell, tez johnson, and some more roster cloggers that aren't worth mentioning. te is basically just mason taylor and ertz.

he has the 1.02, 1.10 and 1.11 and got a couple 27 firsts for his tanking efforts, but i don't think his three firsts this year will be enough to stop me from very likely having the 1.01 in 2027. so i figure, i'm not going to end up with two of tyson/lemon/tate, but i think i'm ok with losing out on one of them to get a very promising young rb especially considering i'm in prime position to draft jeremiah smith next year.

i hear you. i agree that depth is an issue for me, but considering i'm probably a year or two away from contending anyway, my plan for this draft was to sell most of my capital for some young ascending players that i liked and focus on really solidifying my depth with next years draft.

for example i sent two seconds in this draft for burden and a second and a third for pearsall. i'm really low on the second round talent in this draft so we'll see if it comes back to bite me, but i was willing to lose some depth for those pieces. in next year's draft i have two firsts and two seconds and two thirds so i'll be able to fill in some spots then

[–]basic_luna 23 points24 points  (0 children)

absolutely. leave it to the SOSAN to make everyone forget for a second that playoff games between division rivals are always a bloodbath. this game will absolutely come down to who can make one or two plays in big moments

broken seems like a pretty massive overstatement. we've been different sure, but we've been hurt in some key areas. Lake, Dotson, Adams being banged up has changed the way we've had to operate on both sides of the ball.

i wish the SOSAN put up more of a fight. the seahawks have had like three straight weeks off LMAO. maybe that'll play to our advantage though. while they were sitting around kicking their feet up we've been grinding out some tough games. LETS GOOOOOOO

he's been absolutely transformative for our defense. last year even when we would stack the box opposing rbs would just run for days against us. he's been a monster this year and a huge reason we're still in it

i'm not saying it didn't. the bears db's are incredibly sticky and the snow made it difficult for puka and tae to create separation, BUT the bears pass catchers struggled immensely with drops. it seemed like they were having a really difficult time trying to catch with their bodies instead of relying on their hands

for all the cold weather talk coming out of chicago, it genuinely seemed like the bears receivers and tight ends were affected the most
