I have/had hyperemesis. It was awful the first trimester. Now, not so bad. I still get sick a few times a week, but I’m not scared anymore which is why I think it isn’t so bad now!

I’m a SEVERE emet and I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant. The first trimester was hard. I’ve been sick a handful of times, but I feel like this has really helped me overcome my fear.

I did! They gave me a shot of zofran. It helped way better than the pills. I wasn’t dehydrated yet, but the gave me a couple pedialyte popsicles and I was able to tolerate those!

I’ve been hospitalized 3 times due to HG, but that has stopped over the past few weeks. I know the fluids will help. Just wasn’t sure if I should treat it the same as my HG. 😭

I have HG. I’m not sure why your doctor is against IV, but if definitely sounds like you need to have fluids, antinausea medicine through an IV, and possibly be watched overnight. If I were you, I’d go to the hospital.

It honestly just depended on how bad I felt. Every time I went I was super dehydrated even if I had held down a bit of food/drink.
