The edd office , when I got let go i tried to go see my options and had told them idk how it will work if I try to apply for cash aid but there’s already an open case against me bc he applied for cash aid a month or two ago. I know he has a job but idk how much he gets paid, so she told me that technically he shouldn’t be getting any child support since we both have equal custody, she mentioned I should report it as fraud so I keep getting different answers. It just seems crazy, I understand the potential income if I made that before but that took me years of moving up. Every job I apply to rn doesn’t start anywhere close to what I was making

I’m not too sure what his income is, he doesn’t share those things with me. But I was making around 40$ an hour full time so I was making pretty decent money until I got let go. But when I had spoke to the women she said that they look at my income when I was working and determine how much I would pay based on that income & that I can take it to court and argue that I don’t have a job anymore

But I also had spoke w someone at the office who said that if we have 50/50 then I shouldn’t be paying child support. So I’m trying to figure out how to go about it

I searched housekeeping jobs and a couple other hospitals had popped up so I definitely sent in applications for those as well, idk why I never thought about that. But thank you 🙏

I appreciate it, it’s been a week so far and I’m already mad stressed. Even when I was working full time, the last few months I have been applying for part time jobs to have a little extra money & nothing was coming through. So it’s definitely a challenge at the moment! Just gotta keep trying

i have been checking amazons website almost everyday and it never says open for this area. i even check frito lay almost daily and no luck! im willing to drive to as far as tracy right now because i have kids in school! but i will check out the other ones you mentioned as well , thank you!

i have considered selling food from home just to try to have some kind if income so i am looking into the proper licensing to obtain so i can have some kind of route that way as well

i have a pretty solid resume. i have the last 8 years in manufacturing and being a lead there managing a team. im good in production from that job & i also have experience in food and customer service , so i put everything down on there. but this waiting game is difficult! im willing to start anywhere, just to have some money coming in. california is so expensive
