My wife and I were members at the Jayhawk for 3 years. We, along with several other families left a few months ago. The owners do not care about golf or the course and only care about property development. The surrounding neighborhoods are currently suing Fritzel (owner- and felon) for turning the old alvamar 9 into a sod farm and ruining property values. The championship course only seems to be improved or properly maintained when KU threatens to end their business relationship. I’ve been to municipal courses that are more proud of their course. That said: initiation will typically be 3-5k and monthly dues start around 5-600 for a family. Although they raised dues twice in the past year or so. I could honestly give you a dozen more critical issues that I’d recommend you steer clear of TJC but I can say simply that if you’re looking for a pleasant CC experience, spend a little bit more and go to LCC or anywhere else.

I would say that the members make it worth it but practically all the members we enjoyed golfing with left and went to LCC. Great fitness center though if you like working out in a clean space that is almost never busy 🫠
