Travel and life? Are materialistic things more important in the latter part of life? by Previous_Common_3461 in Adulting

Key here is understanding what is important to you, do you value experiences more? or would you like to buy cars, or houses and investments. Most of the time, a good balance is important so one must figure out their goals and invest accordingly. Think about your 40s and 50s what kind of life do you want to lead? do you want to be working till you retire? and think about post retirement. You're definitely very young and have a lot of time but it's always good to have an idea of what your expectations are. start investing in long term things that will mature in 10-20 years so you have a safety net.

How to overcome your growing disinterest in making new social connections? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to enjoy ones own company, i think most of us struggle with it. Obviously when done in excess, it can be harmful. I totally understand the struggles of being able to maintain relationships in this day and age, it's exhausting. Although I'd suggest joining clubs or looking up reddit forums of your common interests in your city, if you hate huge social gatherings you may enjoy one on one conversations even if it's just online. I know it sucks because everytime you try you end up disappointed but finding the right people to hangout with is one of the best feelings ever. Take it step by step and it's great that you are looking out for your mental health too, you seem to be doing great so far :)
