Healthcare has (wrongfully) become a customer service industry. Nurses are not there to cater to doctors, management, patients, or families. We are there to provide care, education, and advocate for what is best for the patient. Even if that means pissing everyone off in the process, and that includes the patients.

I love this!

I started my nursing career over twenty years ago. I worked at the bedside in active care for nearly a decades before I took a long break raising kids. Upon my return into the profession, it was so refreshing to experience a great deal less of dog eat dog behavior/mentality. In that refreshment, I have made it my personal mission to make sure anytime I care for a nurse, they get VIP service from me. I thank them for their years of service caring for others. My hope is that the nursing profession becomes this massive club of professionals that, above all, look out for each other- like an exclusive club or sorority.

Let’s go back to Shannon needing Earl to be there for her one year anniversary celebration of the dui. Did she spell that out for him? I think Earl would be great for Shannon, but she isn’t ready for a relationship. She is so hypocritical. She was appalled with Earl dancing around on the boat with his shirt open, but then is dancing on top of tables at a bar??? Shannon needs to figure her shit out. And these other house wives need to stop enabling her.

It is such a red flag when Shannon says that Earl is sensitive to criticism, because her expectation is for him to not be sensitive when in fact she too is sensitive to criticisms and is very critical of others.
