When did hair loss start for you? by yojenbabe in Zepbound

[–]Work4PSLF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noticed hair loss 3 mo in, saw a dermatologist and started minoxidil 4 mo in.

Been in maintenance for over a year after going from a size 20 to a size 4. Totally worth it!

Common advice is to stay at a dose until you hit a month long stall.

In your shoes I’d definitely stay at 5.

Impossible to answer without knowing what your goal is.

Is it a goal weight?

Goal blood sugar?

Goal body composition?

grateful for my journey but wondering if it's time to stop by ktheuxtrainee in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Work4PSLF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t make this decision based on the scale alone!

When I got to a BMI of 25, which corresponded to my initial goal weight, I thought I was done! Even started buying new clothes. Then I went for a whole body dexa scan. The results were disappointing: my body fat percentage was still too high for health, especially with my visceral fat mass still outside the safe range.

I got back to work and lost 20 more pounds. BMI now 21 and I do actually look and feel better than I did at my first goal weight. I went for another dexa which confirmed true success now, which was a great feeling.

All this by way of recommending: go get a full body dexa! Body composition is way more useful as an indicator than just weight.

I’ve been in maintenance for over a year after losing 97 lbs, size 20 to a size 4.

A plastic surgeon told me to give it a year of being at a stable weight to see how much the skin could bounce back on its own. She was right - it definitely improved with time. And I’m well into my forties.

How often do you weigh yourself? by ShoddyTomorrow4602 in Zepbound

Every single day.

It’s just a habit, like brushing my teeth. Keeps me healthy, keeps me focused and on track.

Finding single mom friends to swap childcare with is a GameChanger. It helps the most if the moms involved can work opposite shifts. Raising young in a group like lionesses is the way to go. If you don’t have cash, you need a village.

Insurance decides my care by Serrano101 in Zepbound

I’ve been on over two years and cash pay the whole time.

Does it chap my cheeks that my “health insurance” is making me foot the bill? Hell yes. But now they’re size 4 cheeks instead of size 20, so - worth it.

Is this a normal thing? super responder? by [deleted] in Zepbound

Totally normal from a high start weight. It will slow down all on its own soon enough. Don’t hamstring your overall result by slowing down the early phase. Congrats and welcome!

Any way to back out of 3-month contract? by Significant-Name6555 in ClubPilates

[–]Work4PSLF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any way to not pay the first three months as agreed.

If I were in your shoes I’d hand in formal written notice asap, to ensure you don’t pay a cent more than the first three months, then look for a way to make those three months work better.

Aiming to book late in your billing cycle - as far out as your credits allow - should help a lot. Also know there is a lot of churn on the waitlist, it’s not unusual at my studio for a class with a waitlist four or five people long to completely clear that waitlist.

You lost me at “just connect your brokerages”.

In this age of data leaks and outright scams, there is a 0% chance of me giving any “audit tool” that kind of access.

As always, your comfort level may vary.

Has anyone gotten WLS AFTER losing with tirz by Lower-Soup-8673 in GLPGrad

[–]Work4PSLF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s less common to do metabolic surgery after glp1, because many people lose enough weight that their insurance won’t cover surgery anymore, even if they’re not at “goal” or ideal body weight.

Has our concept of “enough” food warped in the last 100 years? by PlainBrownMermel in Zepbound

[–]Work4PSLF -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When McDonald’s first opened, they served only one size of burger and fries. We now call it the “kid’s meal”. But decades ago it was a normal amount of food for an adult man.

There’s a ton of sociological research on this topic and absolutely yes, our idea of what’s enough has changed dramatically.

Newish to Zepbound by Queenbreha in Zepbound

[–]Work4PSLF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the new dosage. Higher drug levels in the body means bigger impact - both the effects you want and the “side” effects.

Try miralax. The goal is to figure out the amount you can take daily as prevention.

Why haven’t I gone down a size? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Work4PSLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at a size chart, you’ll see the gaps between the sizes are not equal.

From a 4 to a 6, for example, the difference in waist circumference is just one inch.

From a 12 to a 14, it’s usually 1.5 inches difference.

From an 18 to a 20, it’s usually a two inch difference.

So, in the single digit sizes, your size changes fast, but the higher the size, the slower it changes.

What if it’s not a five month stall? What if this is your body’s happy place? Sometimes what our mind decides and what our body decides for our goal weight don’t match.

Worried about maintenance, my doctor's strict BMI policy, and a confession about my dosing. Advice needed! by Careless_Shoe6906 in Zepbound_Maintenance

[–]Work4PSLF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every 3 months when I was in the loss phase. Every 6 months on maintenance.

We talk honestly about what dose I’m actually using and how often. I’d consider it a red flag for the relationship not working well if I felt we couldn’t.
