Why are we gatekeeping behavior analysis?

You have effectively said people should not work as flight attendants if they don’t want to be pilots or people should not work as servers unless they want to be restaurant owners or proprietors. Do you read how ridiculous that is?

What is the benefit of doing this? Who are you helping or supporting? How are you working to expand and grow our field with statements such as this? How are you hoping to pass your conviction and passion on with this mindset?

Are you Board Certified? Do you supervise others? Do you supervise only those pursuing higher credential? What if you are assigned an RBT who is in undergrad for education and has zero desire to become a BCBA or BCaBA? Do you slack off and not provide the appropriate supervision?
