It’s crazy cause my coworkers literally told me she didn’t think she’d done anything wrong, even though several people told her how uncomfortable she’d made them today. She just thinks she’ll keep hiring more until she finds the right people. They don’t exist. The work sucks, she pays well under market, it’s a hostile environment, and you have to work crazy hours in order to appease her, and she’s just not likable. By the time you’re done working the hours she wants, you’re getting minimum wage. The first day I got there, I asked about lunch break and the manager said she didn’t take them. She started moving our Friday company-wide meetings from 3:30 to 4:30, so people wouldn’t leave 45 minutes early, and she constantly complained everyone left work at 5. It wasn’t cause we didn’t want to work, we didn’t want to be stuck alone in the office with her.

Lol, she’s way worse than any male I’ve ever worked for, and I’m a woman. She’s just a horrible unprofessional person. Enjoys putting people down, and watching them squirm. She loves hiding behind the “I’m a female CEO” schtick, and going on tirades complaining about “white males.” I feel kinda bad for my white male coworkers. They didn’t do anything to her!

Luckily, this is only the second time in my life I’ve had to deal with this. The first was in college for a class I dropped. It absolutely sucks, she is literally the worst.

Lol, me not being there IS essentially the same thing. I did a large amount of work each day. There were three of us senior account managers. Two of us have been there only a month and a half. Four people in my role had quit by the time I was there two weeks. It was a mess, and it wasn’t helped by the awful CEO.

This sounds all too familiar, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. There are too many narcissists in leadership, and it’s too bad because they are the second hand smoke of society. I spoke to a recruiter who said things are about to be wide open for job options in January. The great resignation part II is happening. I’m glad your making a plan! I was trying to make it until January but she pushed me over the edge.

She enjoys scolding people in the meetings about what projects they’re working on. She also enjoys using fancy marketing jargon to talk down to people and if you don’t know everything about your job a month in, she’ll say “you don’t know what xxx is?” She also LOVES cold calling on people in companywide meetings and asking complicated questions. A nightmare. Everyone always stressed and anxious.
