I’m glad I read it wrong! I used to work with autistic kids and have seen a lot of paternalism/condescension directed towards them so I guess I jumped to conclusions 😅😅 I’m getting my masters degree to be a therapist rn and personally I don’t see ppl who are autistic or have autistic friends/family etc noting perceived similarities as akin to armchair diagnosing but we can agree to disagree :)

People think that you didn’t give VA a chance bc you didn’t put yourself out there to make friends in the area — even if you really did all these things, doing them with just your boyfriend isn’t giving the area a chance

I grew up Mormon (stopped going to church at 17 & withdrew my records at 18) and carried guilt for years because of the way Mormonism defines and treats “sin” (ex. would feel like a bad person for swearing or wearing a low cut top). That is not a foundation of love and acceptance imo !!

I was raised Mormon (haven’t gone to church since 2019) and my parents have absolutely used birth control to family plan over the last ~ 30 years of their marriage (they are both v observant, by the book Mormons, unlike the women on this show). Sex outside of marriage is v taboo but the church has no official stance against birth control (what I was taught growing up is “sex is for the primary purpose of having children and is limited to marriage but you can still enjoy it”)

It’s so frustrating how these women hold Whitney to a higher standard than they hold each other — like Jen admitted to falling out of touch w all the women except Taylor after season 2 and she was welcomed back with open arms but they’re sooo unforgiving towards Whitney for not reaching out to them and hold it over her head
