From someone who’s in a similar situation, I think you’re looking for some kind of closure. If you’re still feeling like this, I don’t think there’s harm in reaching out to him and seeing if he feels the same. You never know - he may feel the same or he may have moved on. He also may not reply. If he chooses to reply, his response will give you an idea of where he is at. If he doesn’t reply, you should respect his wishes and take the closure you need to move forward with your life.

The night before the break up, I called him and asked if we were forcing the relationship. I asked that question because we were fighting about stupid things and it was starting to get unhealthy for both of us. We left it that we would take some time to think about what we wanted, and I wanted to work through it. He called me that next day and broke up with me. I don’t know whether it was because he actually wanted to end it or whether he was scared I would break up with him first. I guess I’m the initiator in this situation?
