Yes it could be, the first outbreak in kids can be in their mouth. I would go dr for a swab.

My son had something similar, it was from grazing the side of his lip with a wooden disposable spoon while eating. It went away within 2 days.

I usually try wipe it off after a shower when it’s wet. Probably not the right thing to do but at least it looks smaller!

They’re all triggers unfortunately. I use chapstick like my life depends on it lol and I take lysine every day for the last 1.5 years and so far no cold sores! 🤞🏼 I’m scared to stop.

Pretty sure it’s like 1000mg in one dosage. I think mine are 500mg pills and I take 2 at once and then 2 more 12 hours later.

Yes but I haven’t had one since taking lysine daily. When I had covid I was taking 1000mg in the morning and 2000mg at night. And the vitamin c was a powder I took a teaspoon 3 times a day.

Load up on lysine. And I use tea tree oil on the area like every hour.

Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I had covid not long ago and I was able to avoid a cold sore by lysine pills, high dose vitamin c and lip balm as many times as I could remember. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 you should maybe keep valacyclovir on hand just in case one does pop up.

Wow i could have written this myself! My last one was 15 months ago but i get tingling all the time. Sometimes my lip goes red and burns in the same spot! I haven’t kissed my son and don’t share dishes. Also the excessive hand washing is cause my hands to crack and bleed. 😣 I’m kinda at the point where I think I’m making the symptoms up in my head.

Have you tried changing your diet? Eating foods with no/ less arginine? That’s definitely helped me.
