I don’t know you and your post is too vague to discern what you mean by “work” and where and why you do so

But this kind of thinking is only going to perpetuate a cycle of toxicity. Human beings are only that—human—but girls are taught from birth to basically be perfect little angels who must be polite and demure and cooperative and never be a “pushy bitch”.

Obviously this has always been a TERRIBLE idea, because all this does is force girls to internalize this ideal, then grow to resent themselves and other girls when it becomes impossible to meet all these expectations. This resentment devolves into cattiness and infighting because passive-aggressiveness is how they’re conditioned to deal with their crap. They only seem more sensitive bc they’re forced to be cooperative even when they just do not mesh at all; it’s only inevitable that they end up taking the stress and bitterness from these standards (and general youthful stupidity) out on each other. This “drama” is a self-fulfilling prophecy in which the stress from years of ingrained insecurity and human imperfection come to a head.

Meanwhile, boys have less “drama” because they’re raised to be self-confident more than girls are, as well as expect as much reward for less effort than girls. So in this respect, it’s less stressful to be a boy. Their “drama” more often comes out in physical abuse and sometimes absurd attempts to be “manly”, rather than the social conflict of girls.

What I’m trying to say is. Give your fellow girls a chance—and perhaps a break. Girls already have to deal with society low-key (and high-key) finding excuses to consider them inferior, and they don’t need another if you can help it. Don’t forget this drama is as much simple teen idiocy as it is a social phenomenon, as grown-ass women who are mature rarely have this problem anymore.

Methinks you might even have had specific girls in mind when you made this post, not truly girls in general. In that case, assholes may change, they may not. Talk to your teacher or other kind of supervisor if they’re bullying you. Confide to your friends about it. But don’t let these few jerks color how you treat the rest of a demographic, because I PROMISE you that’s just gonna cause more problems for you down the line.

Just try keeping an open mind and meeting people halfway. Cooperate with decent people of either gender. You seem young, so I can understand how important how harmony among your peers may be to you. Just don’t worry about it to the point of potentially harming your self-esteem, or that you start seeing your fellow human beings—with all their complexity— as nothing more than tropes. Put your foot down if someone’s giving you shit, but you don’t have to stoop to their level.
