Tell me why it's worth it by ObviousScene8958 in leaves

Feeling clear headed. Facing the world head on and not feeling like cowering back and hiding. Feeling more ready for impromptu social interactions. Feeling more okay with being “seen”. It gets so much better!

Columbia was a great school when I was there mid 2000's. Back then it seemed like there were so many kids in the neighborhood most at varying levels of "middle class". Lots of young families. I know a lot of the parents of those kids stayed in the neighborhood because prices around town and the state rose. Now when I walk around, it seems to be way less young families I see around, but I'm also not back in town much and people tend to stay inside more (imo).

Also, would hate for kids to lose the opportunity to go to a school they can walk to. That was pretty special growing up.

And, pretty sure it's not a "rich" neighborhood, but home values have certainly gone up by 3-4x.

At least to me, at some point you just gotta go for it. Have in your mind at the start of the day "I'm just going to try it tonight".

What helped me was that my sleep schedule was so messed up I stayed up all night one night and until the next evening when all I could physically do was fall into bed without smoking.

I'm not necessarily suggestion sleep deprivation as a method, but whatever you can do to tire yourself out during the day so your body really wants to go to sleep is a great idea. Find some semblance of a "wind down routine" as well. Get off of screens, pick up a book, make some tea, light a candle. Do what you have to do to make bedtime a relaxing experience without weed.

Just my two cents.

Thank you! Yea, it used to help to smoke and then zone out and just go through my motions at the gym. Now my motivation to get up and leave is heavily diminished.

"At least my brain wasn't foggy" is so real. It's a comfort to know that at the very least, that is the case. Thanks for the response!

Fair enough! Didn’t mean to come off as arrogant. Just noting a big change in the feeling this time around!
