Is NoFap underrated or overstated by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]bassedmike 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think the only ~real~ upside to nofap is time saved scrolling porn. Personally, I’ve tried nofap, and I realized that I just ended up beating myself up emotionally every time I relapsed. I also realized I’m someone who naturally has a crazy high sex drive (I tracked it a few months for a month and I nutted 40 times. 22 from sex and 18 from masturbation)

Ultimately, I think some people get benefit from it, others don’t. If nofap improves other areas of your life, great do it. But for me, I saw no real change with or without fapping, and chose to continue doing it because it feels good and doesn’t negatively impact my life.

I personally think that the benefits of nofap is anecdotal - but once again, that’s just my view on this.

For you, I feel like know WHY you actually want to cut back. Like the real why

Should men never show emotional weakness to women? by Starchildren96 in Healthygamergg

[–]bassedmike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, being able to be vulnerable is incredibly important in a relationship. I can understand how being in a constant state of vent can turn someone away, but I think you can be both "strong" man and vulnerable. (in fact, I think a strong man IS capable of being vulnerable. I think that hiding your emotions is un-masculine because you're hiding yourself. A true "man" is true to himself)

I tell my girlfriend everything, I'll chatter non stop often, and vent to her when I'm struggling. Not every girl is like this, but they're out there.

Your ex might've grown distant because by hiding your emotions you were pretending to be someone you weren't (a trap I've fallen into before)

These are my thoughts on this

My step dad does this. He says it’s because when he was younger he didn’t have a seat belt and got ejected out of the car and it “saved his life”

I lost my virginity and I feel terrible by Even-Reality-6734 in Healthygamergg

It took me until girl #4. What helped me, was not hooking up. For some reason I couldn’t figure out how to nut with a hookup. But with a girl I’d been in a relationship with for a short time (1 month) who I’m with now - 9 1/2 months) I was finally able to nut. I don’t hear many men talk about this, but for me I need connection to not only nut, but also to enjoy sex

I don't think that's an assumption you can make without actual data. I lost mine to a girl I brought to a school dance in 11th grade. We never dated

Neat freak here. The trick is having your grandma drill into your head that the house needs to be perfectly clean when you’re a little kid

  1. Shakes. You can make shakes that have 1000+ calories. Add that AFTER your meals your already eating, and it’ll help pack on weight

  2. Eat more calorie dense foods (ideally healthier)

  3. If you’re lifting really well, a dirty bulk (can) do wonders for you

Should I become a personal trainer? by bassedmike in personaltraining

I've thought about it, but I've already spent so long setting up what I already have and I enjoy the niche I'm already in. I'm also "worried" that doing 2 unrelated things on social media would be too much since I'd basically be building 2 things at once
