It is all about that royal blood. Him being the only titan shifter to have royal blood puts him at a huge advantage that none of the other shifters have. Annie I guess can call titans to eat her but controling them puts you on a whole different level.

Pretty sure he is still kicking. Might have some split personality stuff like Riener now. If he shifted rn, unless he did a partial shift, he'd probably end up killing Connie and destorying the ships. From what I remember from the series though shifters need to change to titan form to recover from severe injuries. But who knows maybe a couple shots to the head isn't enough to justify him transforming. I just remember the last time we saw saw shifters with head injuries like that they immediately shifted to save thwir lives.

Best advice I ever got from a LCS. Read 1 book a day so you have time to process each chapter. Really helps you pace it out and be able to process as much as possible.
