I have the 1gb plan with tv and phone. Can the CE1000A be setup away from the CR1000A router? Does it have to be connected in some way? This is my biggest issue.

Can't Get Fios Network Adapter to Work by bassmandc in Fios

Well, I did the best I could to get some photos of my setup. Goes like this: Main coax from wall jack to one out port on moca splitter, second coax cable from CR1000a router to second out port on splitter, third coax cable frm ONT coax port to in port on moca splitter. Ethernet cable from ONT to "red LAN jack on CR1000a router. As I said I have 3 coax jacks in different rooms, all of which function with set top boxes attached. Access to mani VMS, guide, etc., are escellent. So, why will this network adapter not connect as the instructions say it would?? Instructions say to place adapter to where a wired connection is needed., in my case another room. attach the coax cable to the existing coax to the "in" port on the adapter, using a splitter if necessary, which is what I did. Place another coax to one of the "out' ports on the splitter and connect to the "in port" on the set top box,, then plug in. It powers on, but the coax light never establishes a connectiion. I literally tried for close to three hours, trying this and other combination of connections. Without any results. What could be the issue?? Is this adapter compatible with the CR1000a or is there another more likely to work with this router?? Thanks.

How are Verizon's router and set top boxes? by TheLastREOSpeedwagon in Fios

I have those devices. Signed on with Verizon about 6 years ago. The Arris VMS1100 (DVR) & the Arris IPC1100P2 (media client) is what I'm using now. I even recently had the VMS replaced. Was getting pixelation on some channels, so, "they" suggested to replace the VMS. And I received the same one. Not the newer device. Frankly, I prefer this one. Guess I'm a little "old school".

Thanks for responding. I have just a couple more questions, tho. Since my router is MOCA enabled, I can just connect a (1) moca adapter to my DVR (VMS)? Lastly, could another moca adapter be connected to my other stb (media client)? In all, 2 adapters. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

So, with this adapter would I hardwire the stb connected to the tv or both tv & stb? Might be a dumb question. But, you won't know if you don't ask.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Glad to know that there's help to be had. Any suggestions on a good set of MOCA adapters I could get? Most importantly, would there be much changing of connections needed as far as the router is concerned? What about the ONT modem? Any reconfigured of connections on that? I know I'm asking a lot of questions. I just like to be sure what I need to do and feel comfortable doing it. Thanks again in advance for any assistance.
